I don't think you can land this on the CPA. This is a problem with our own county board showing no consideration for it's own club players!

Why the need for the replay to be played this side of Kildare playing championship anyway?

What I mean is the CPA are asking for is a fixed GAA calendar which is impossible pie in the sky stuff unless we do away with the championship and just have a league.

But they aren’t prepared to sacrifice replays according to their manifesto which would be a practical quick fix that would solve a lot of problems every season.

https://www.leinsterleader.ie/news/gaelic/315211/kildare-sfc-and-ifc-championship-groups-drawn.html

Most groups in the senior championship look very predictable apart from a possible decent scrap between Larries and Maynooth to go through with Naas in Group A. I can't see Confey troubling Celbridge or Sarsfields. You'd expect Moorefield, Johnstownbridge, Athy and Carbury to come through.

What was the point really of the first round. Win or lose you were still going to be in the championship

yea. first round was a waste of time . jtb will give it a right rattle . cant see past us , moores and jtb.  celbridge are complete bottlers.  will probably get out of group.  wont win it though. athy seem to be motoring well if county players stay fit and interested

With Kildare now playing up until the weekend of the 4th and 5th I assume we are looking at the championship going back a week to possibly the 18/9th are we at the earliest?

Or will game without county players still go ahead the 11th /12th?

It's not easy been a club player in Kildare during the summer. Not that I mind now Kildare are going well but there is the other side to life other than football that plans need to me made for to.

Will teams with under 20 players be out the weekend of the 11th or will they get 2 weeks with their clubs?

With the focus now switching to the club action I wonder is it to hard to ask our county board to release a full set of fixtures for the group stages of the championship?

Be nice for players to know if they are playing every second week? Or is it two weeks between the first two games then a week break until the 3rd game?

Having now gotten to see Jimmy Hyland on several occasions, I predict Ballyteague will be re-graded to senior at an EGM tomorrow night and win it out.

Does anyone know what way the games are falling in the intermediate?

Our club is out this weekend and we believed that we weren't playing again for two weeks based on the official fixtures which were released on Monday, as we weren't down to play the 17th/18th/19th.

But now there is word going around we could be playing on that weekend even though it's not on the fixtures released? The fear is when the fixtures are released this Monday the 13th the CB have then decided to schedule teams in with 5/6 days notice.

I'm hearing there will be no Championship matches the weekend of the 24th.. due to the Pope visit.
The following weekend will be very difficult on the smaller Clubs as it's electric picnic weekend.

We got our fixtures earlier, playing the weekend of the 25th and the 8th. Ignoring the pope and free the weekend of electric picnic..

11 matches pencilled in for Hawkfield pitch One in the next 9 Days.. a lot of traffic for One surface.. and that's before the following weekend onslaught.
