Surprised to see some of the Laois footballers and Parkinson backing us in this. We let Laois down badly in 2015 when they looked for our vote as they were trying to get their game with Dublin played at home as it was originally fixed as a home game for them. We turned our backs on them and voted with the Leinster Council to play it in Kilkenny and now that we are in the same position we expect everyone to support us... Just sayin' like..

If a climbdown is going to happen it may happen soon, logistically anybody who has worked at Co.Board level previously may be able to answer this, how long will it take to organize this as an all-ticket game in Newbridge.

I would imagine if it is decided by 6 this evening, clubs would have to send in orders by tomorrow for collection Thursday morning with any left over being sold in Hawkfield Friday? However many tickets then sent to Mayo for them to distribute as they see fit. It is probably doable but only if an announcement comes later today, any later and it is probably not feasible, well not feasible for Saturday 30th June anyway.

That better not be a climbdown on our part of we will be a serious laughing stock. And CB and management all should go before weekend. Anyway, so far so good, so trust them until there's a reason to think otherwise.

Sorry if I wasn't clear TK, I meant a climbdown from the suits in Croke Park who made this decision originally.

Like someone previously alluded to, if game were to go ahead in Newbridge and all ST holders were to get a ticket we'd be outnumbered 3 to 1. Not sure how beneficial home advantage would be in that case and would be a pitiful sight being outnumbered to such an extent at home.

This match w'ont be played on Saturday.

If we give Mayo 3,500 tickets for their season ticket holders, surely we take the balance ourselves?

There can be no other scenario other than the game being played in Newbridge. There can be no sweetener for the CB to make this ago away like was suggested by Sean Kelly earlier. That's nothing other than corruption .

The game must go ahead in Newbridge otherwise we take it to court. Our integrity as a county, management team, supporters and county board are on the line here. Integrity , honesty and courage in ones convictions are far more important to me as a person than any joy any Celtic cross or cup could bring.

I STILL after TWO DAYS not heard ONE convincing reason why this game shouldn't be played in Newbridge.

More to the point HG he pretty much said Kildare have made their point and now need to go ahead and play the game in Croke Park and then use the time when they are out of the championship to get their house in order, he refused to accept the GAA are breaking the rules, he sounded like a Kremlin spokesman, really condescending.

This follows on from Sean Kelly's "Ah just slip them a few quid" effort on OTB AM earlier. The GAA-ocrats have really misjudged the public mood but that's how they landed themselves in this mess.

All Sean Kelly and Nicky Brennan proved is that they are dinausors of the game and we're well rid. Backhanders and do what your told like good little boys is their game. Hopefully we're past those days
