That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard! If anyone knows Bryan Murphy, they'd know he's the most genuine manager around. He lives in the closest estate to Naas GAA. His kids play in the club. He is not getting anything for training Naas minor team! He is Sent from Topic'it App

Curious as to why the county board would allow a kid play for who he wants to play for? I don’t believe the process of transferring should be easy but ultimately you should be allowed to play for who you want to play for. Playing football for a club is a pastime. If you want to play for another club then you shouldn’t be prevented ultimately.

| When the strongest underage team in the county is bringing in the strongest player from a smaller club I think it sends out the wrong message to all involved | |

Ultimately kids (Or adults) can’t be prevented moving from one club to another. If the county board did that they could be brought to the high court. It would be nice if everyone stayed at their own club but it’s an individual’s choice who they want to play for. Given Kildare have taken players from other counties it would be a tad hypocritical if the CB said no on this.

With O'Toole & DJ excellent at the back and a few top class young forwards like Nash & the returning Wayne Fitz as well as the man who impressed me most of all in the semi, their number 11 Paul Moloney, they are believed to have the edge.
Leixlip have a decent defence even if a few are in the veteran stages but up front they rely on a few who have been around for years without ever setting the world alight..... Tommy Moo might give them an edge at midfield but the Blues do have some big powerful men out there also...
Hoping for Leixlip but logic not helping the hopes !!!!!!!!!!!!
Not Favs at all.. Leixlip 8/13. Monasterevin 13/8. Draw 7/1. OK Seamus. I was referencing the Media comments.. I don't do bookies but they often/mostly reflect volume of money which can be a reflection of population or lads with more cash than sense !!!!!...…... Seriously now---------- who are the experts expecting to win ? Only ones I read said Blues..

| Those odds are pretty much spot on. Leixlip have cruised to the final and are just down from the Senior ranks. They're a powerful outfit around the middle and have a few nice inside forwards. Monasterevin have rode their luck a little in getting to the final but do possess an outstanding forward in Nash. Tough to call but having seen both teams in action this year, I think Leixlip's experience will tell in the second half.
Leixlip by 3. | |

Works both ways, big clubs lose players to smaller clubs for numerous reasons i.e. where the girlfriend is from, can't get on the first team, what pub they drink in.

Leixlip by 3. Leixlip also operated in division 1 in the league. I would add that Leixlip probably didn't have as tough a run in as monasterevin. Draw.

| Very poor final. The goal was a massive turning point. Leixlip were dreadful up front, seemed liked they wanted to defend their way to a win. Seems to be a theme with North Kildare clubs at the latter stages of the championships in Kildare, see Celbridge. Nash had a field day on his man. Monasterevin deserved their win. | |

| Well done to Monasterevin on there win today. It wasnt pretty but I am sure they dont care.Leixlip shocking in the final 3rd.Forwards afraid to shoot on goal.If there the top 2 teams in the intermediate championship than the standard is very poor.Monasterevin want to improve vastly if they want to stay senior next year. Big difference in standard between senior and intermediate.Anyway well done to Monasterevin again | |

| Was one of the said neutrals at the Intermediate Final today and I was very disappointed with the standard. I don't see many intermediate football games but the best team won on the day but it was hard to see either team being up to senior standard. Leixlip offered no scoring threat. Monasterevin won based on the organisation of the backline and the tricky nature of their forwards. Leixlip's best player was their centre forward, who worked back tirelessly all game. I disagreed on the selection of motm. Nash did what you would expect from a forward, personally I thought Lenny Havens did heroic worked for Monasterevin in the transition from front to back. Well done Monasterevin. | |

| Goals win matches.. but Sean Kavanagh for me was outstanding. Kevin Fitz goal from Podges outstanding pass was a massive score. | |
