| Moores played some brilliant stuff yday they use the width unbelievably well especially when under pressure. Keepers kickouts in 1st half were nailed on i think they only lost 1?? No.4 dempsey had a fantastic game on niall kelly second half as another poster said the wind was a huge factor. For athy the damage was done in 1st 40 mins the second moores goal was shocking from athy barely laid a hand on an attacker ultimately was the winning score. Fancy moores by 7 in final.

| Some results for Naas Hurling, Senior, Junior & Minor Champions.
During the week I read a piece which pointed to a Naas player as possibly a weak link "not up to the task" Now I see he got Player of the Match...………….

I thought for last 4 or 5 years Celbo were just 1 scoring forward away from being the top dog but that was not the basis of yesterday’s defeat. They could have had Bernard Brogan and Conor McManus inside yesterday and not one jot of difference would it have made. I’d say they will be looking for Paul Curran’s receipt in the office there over the next few days. Haven’t beaten anyone of note. Fergal Conway is the great enigma. Maybe he is under too much pressure with the club as he never seems to get going on the big day for them. Matt Byrne has him in his pocket and he didn’t want to know about it. But when he got a chance of a shoulder late on on a smaller fella he went in full whack and nailed him (Coffey for McDonnell maybe?). Then mouthing over him like a hard man. Shit himself when he was beside Byrne though. O’Grady was wasted. Flynn was well marshalled, another fella who didn’t look interested once he was getting a bit of close attention. Tony Archibald tried hard but was obviously hurt, few glimpses of him opening gaps. Other than that, utter tripe. For Sash Ben Mc was the class apart but the work rate and hunger they showed had Davy Burke stamped all over it. When you see Ray Cahill tracking his man back to his own 21 it says it al. Pity Ben is away next year.
Athy have one of the best fielders in Ireland and we’re afraid to kick it to him. Too negative. When they threw the shackles off they reeled Moores back in, as they have the talent. Temperament and football intelligence were sorely missing however. Same fella let’s that club down time and time again.
Moore’s were all over the place at times themselves. 9 up and management were high 5s and smiles and hugs with NHL as he was coming off. 10 mins later they were bringing on Adam Tyrell who according to many in the stand was out with concussion. Hope that doesn’t comeback to impact him and highly irresponsible of management if true. The Moore’s seem to be officiated a bit more leniently than others. I’ve noticed managers and selectors all summer be reigned in on line by 4th official when the are standing just a few feet inside yet Frank Hannify seems to be permitted to be a 16th man. Never off the field and 4th official never seems to care.
All in all great final to look forward to, think sash will win by 2 IMO Jesus take that moorefield chip off ur shoulder there! They are in their 4th final in a row, and for '16th' man.... take a look at jayo for Dublin!! Roll on the final if will be close I think. Sent from Topic'it App

Sent from Topic'it App Completely neutral (from an inter club) and have the height of respect for what the Moores continue to achieve. Just think they get away with maor foirrne more than other teams and just because Jayo it Dublin do it does not mean it is right. |

| Huge pride in this Moorefield team. Similar to Mayo in that the possibly lack a forward or two at that elite Dr Crokes/Corofin level, but they are a cause, a belief system & it takes something special to beat them.
Sash tho will be different kettle of fish as they are the one team in county we don’t have psychological stranglehold over.
One result that may have escaped people’s attention: Minor semi-final - Naas 7-18 Celbridge 0-11.
Celbridge missing Aaron Browne but still very impressive. With Maguire at full back & spine of CBS team it’s possibly a Naas golden generation, but keeping teams together not easy as we know.
It’s one hell of a team tho.

| Really strong Naas minor team. Curious as to how County Board allowed the transfer of a minor county player into the Naas ranks last year from a small rural club. I am sure plenty of Naas players weren't too happy either. | |

| Kildare-Tom That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard! If anyone knows Bryan Murphy, they'd know he's the most genuine manager around. He lives in the closest estate to Naas GAA. His kids play in the club. He is not getting anything for training Naas minor team! | |

| The Intermediate Final:::::::: Seems Monasterevin are hot favs...………. With O'Toole & DJ excellent at the back and a few top class young forwards like Nash & the returning Wayne Fitz as well as the man who impressed me most of all in the semi, their number 11 Paul Moloney, they are believed to have the edge.
Leixlip have a decent defence even if a few are in the veteran stages but up front they rely on a few who have been around for years without ever setting the world alight..... Tommy Moo might give them an edge at midfield but the Blues do have some big powerful men out there also...
Hoping for Leixlip but logic not helping the hopes !!!!!!!!!!!!

Not Favs at all.. Leixlip 8/13. Monasterevin 13/8. Draw 7/1.
