Sent from Topic'it App You are a fucking eegit. 100% neutral. Excellent, fair display except for thought there should have been 2 minutes more injury time in first half and maybe 3 more in second half. Can't but admire Moores, Sash were by far the better team but Moores just have a huge desire and huge know how that keeps them in it. Fantastic to see. Individually Éannas free taking and Mark Dempseys man marking job we're the highlights. Has Tyrell dirtied his bib? Why ain't he starting? Sash on balance of play should have won by 4 or 5 but you have to take your chances v Moores. The two Rynas Cavanagh Byrne Hartley and Coffey have 5 star performances. Very sad to see Roli leave the field in manner he did. Suspect he'll be the man to replace Glavin and if so, sad way for him to end his glorious playing career. |

| Can anyone tell me why Ryan Moore gets no time for moores. Anytime I seen him he was exceptional. He’d probably start in every other senior team in the county

| Referee was terrible, it would appear that he is a 'Moorefield man' label ensured that he gave everything to Sarsfields, which he did from the very first minute. I hope that they appoint a non Kildare referee for the replay. | |

To be fair Marty Byrne has done two great jobs on Masterson and Conway in semi. |

| Ref letting game flow made for a great game. Moorefield jave more scope for improvement but Sarsfields seem to have the legs on them. Looking forward to the replay. | |

| Ref was OK, I would say he slightly favoured Sarsfields - but not to any degree that influenced the result. Although it was the Sash with the last gasp equaliser, they were by far and away the better team and dominated for long periods. Cracking game. | |

| Very good game in Newbridge yesterday, Moorefield as usual got off to a fast start with the 2 goals. Sarsfields did exceptional well to claw that back even going ahead midway through the 2nd half. Some excellent individual performances on both sides for Sarsfields I thought Barry Coffey and Con Kavanagh were excellent while Kevin Murnaghan and Eanna O Connor were Moorefield best performers.
Replays take on a life of their own but I think there is little/nothing between the two teams and I expect another close one next weekend.

| Lads what age is Barry Coffey he was excellent yesterday, what did he score 4 points ??
Ref helped make this a good game, one of the best county finals in a long time
I am not sure how the Moorefield management looked at David Whyte for the full game, he was awful in the second half.

| Barry Coffey is 25. He played Under-21 for Kildare in 2014 with Dan Flynn and Fergal Conway. He got 5 points from play yesterday. His equalising point at the end was brilliant. Right foot from the right side against the wind - he probably shouldn't even have taken it on! I thought he was the best player on the pitch yesterday. His knee doesn't look in great shape though.
Sarsfields were the better team yesterday apart from the first 15 minutes when Aaron Masterson was dominant. I agree with the poster that said Matty Byrne did well - as he did in the semi against Fergal Conway. Maybe Moorefield could start Daryl Flynn here. They need more from Adam Tyrell and Niall Hurley-Lynch as well.
Sarsfields looked to have the legs on the Moores yesterday but replays can be totally different. Sarsfields were the better team in the drawn 2014 final and Moorefield turned it around in the replay (apparently after some great video analysis by ex-Kildare manager Cian O'Neill!)
Still too close to call and all to play for!

| Barry coffey was excellent yesterday, he done what Ray Cahill done in 2014.. named at centre forward but played out wide & centre back didnt follow him, Ray kicked 10 points that day but in replay was man marked & only scored 2. I think moores will do same on coffey. Fair play to both teams on a great game, Roll on replay. Hopefully Roli is ok. According to kfm He refused to go to hospital during match, didnt want to leave... says it all about him.

| I think Sean Healy was detailed to man mark Barry but because Barry takes up such clever positions he is very difficult to pin down. Sean will probably be told to forget about the ball and just stick to Barry next week. | |

| Great game of football it had everything, the referee did ok, some funny calls of both sides, afew head high tackles went unpunished, Liam Herbert doing the replay and on his semi final performance I expected trouble he has his own rules and attitude. Hope JoC looks at Barry Coffey he could be the link player we need. | |

| Savage game can’t wait for replay. Didn’t mind ref that much tbh, I much prefer refs who just let the shit go. It was the throwback to the days of the Glen Ryans & Davy Daltons who hit first & never asked questions. You’d miss those type of lads. It has made the games less exciting.
Can’t call replay nothing between these teams. Maybe another saga a la Kildare-Meath 97.
Just to say as well, Naas one of the best minor teams I’ve seen in the county. If Naas continue the good work surely they should get players at not only county but provincial level in next decade. Mind you I said the same about Athy 10 years ago.
Some feckin’ team tho, a bit like a super-group. Exciting times all round.

| Side note but when you get two quality teams playing an attacking style, football still by far my favorite game. And yes, I even prefer it to hurling! If we could get rid of Ulster defensive tripe out of game we’d be laughing. | |

| I agree to a certain extent HG, pity there is such knee jerk reactions to poor games and constant tinkering with the playing rules. Have to say I’m not a fan of the advanced mark. Every game will be decided based on who can get their free taker to win the most marks. If Tommy Walsh was an accurate free taker Kerry would have won every game handy during last years league. Most teams will line out are at least be looking for the big full forward now! | |

| I agree with topcat about the advanced mark. I think it's going to make the game a lot more stop/start especially if forwards go through a full free-taking routine when they win a mark.
It might have been needed a couple of years ago when blanket defences were more of an issue but most inter-county teams were more attacking this year. It's going to be hard for the referees to determine if the ball went 20 metres. Also forwards will try to pretend they are going to take a free and then play on when the defenders have stopped.
There's going to be a lot more controversy next year with this advanced mark and teams wasting time when one of their players are in the sin bin.

| I can see the sin bin being a disaster at club level especially league fixtures. Who is expected to keep track of the 10 minutes. I think at club level it should have been left as is. | |
