From an attacking point of view the team has the potential to be functional, Masterson and Flynn in midfield is well balanced, Beirne and Farrell can provide energy and physicality, Feely and Kelly the heads up playmakers and hopefully Kirwan and Dan Flynn stay close to goal to provide a threat. It probably won't be as functional on the pitch though.
I absolutely think player's and management performandces are fair game on the field for whatever criticism come their way.
BUT I think there are too many dickheads taking personal pot-shots at players all around the country. Then a big scracth of the head as to why X or Y lad won't commit...
O'Callaghan even mentioned the influencer as being a joke. Players should be serious at all times!! You cannot expect him to say anything but the party line in an interview. Lads should know that at this stage.
One lad here said he would never go to a game if Paul Cribbin played again. The same man who togged out for years, even when his father was terminally ill.
Can I say that despite what Spillane or whoever said years ago about us being the best fans around we are not. It's toxic on and off the field for ages and it needs a clean sweep.
The problem is there are too many gobshites on social media trying to emulate the most controversial dickheads out there. Unfortunately one of the biggest dickheads with an interest in GAA on social media happens to be from our county so you have lads parroting them with all the personal talk of "losers" and the made up stories of lads going on the beer before championship matches etc.

Hopes higher than realistic expectations as per usual travelling today.
Wicklow know we'll be wide open through the middle. We know they'll exploit that with runners from the back and will target our kickouts.
We know Wicklow will defend deep and in numbers, and they know we have very little scoring threat from open play.
I don't expect management to have anything in place to counter or contain any of that.
About half the lads starting today should know they won't get a look in under a new setup next year and combined with the league you'd hope for a backlash and a last kick of life.
We'll pull away late on but it's not going to be pretty.

MADE UP!! Every Kildare person with an ear to the ground knows they are true.
Ewan, Controvisal as he is, calls it how he sees it and majority of the time, how it is.

How do you know that it's not true? Were you there?

[/quote] I like Mackenna. We're living in a very sensitive world where we have pathetic snowflakes offended by the truth.
We've 15 men back with a gale force wind and cannot tackle. We can get into debate of management and players etc but even if we are set up wrong, the effort is so pathetic.
I referred to football iq on here and in public to endless abuse a while back. Sorry, but if you try break a guy's jaw in front of the referee, you're as thick as it comes as well as, frankly, a thug.
Tactics can be wrong but they aren't actually trying..that's pride. Where was Flynn's pride when trying to shatter a lads face to screw his team? That isn't Ryan. That's no pride.
Louth and Wexford be licking their lips watching this shite, never mind the Dubs.
Gale force wind and not 1 decent ball kicked into the full forward line along with constant short kickouts.
Other than Feely and a moment of magic from Niall Kelly we offer nothing up front. Backs to the wall now for the second half, a man down and against the wind and hope for the best.

He didn't try shatter a lads face. He came in with a shoulder. His timing was off. He caught him in the face. 100% no malice in it so let's not talk rubbish here

He as a choice lifted his elbow into a guy's face. It was so clear.
