Look at this. They aren't even looking at the runner..at what point should the fourth man think better manage the space behind as three might be enough for an average Louth half forward. Abuse me away but they're gobshites. Forgive me if that hurts feelings because frankly I'd rather a pair of balls and a brain at this stage
And that after Louth murdered us with back door cuts in league game… Again we don’t learn.
“It hurts the players more than anyone”, we’re told.
Rubbish. If it really hurt them they’d have gotten rid of Glenn two years ago. And they’d be putting pressure on GPA to play Dubs at home instead of just asking for the free gear & expenses.

Genuinely, this comes down to organisation, coaching and defensive set up. Everyone knowing their roles.
I agree its quite basic and you would think that its fixable in game but this has been gradually happening more and more the last 2 years. They've been marking space and zones rather than touch tight on players .
When it becomes open/broken play like a turn over without a structure in place and hectic we are all over the shop and continuously carved open. Lads in zones ignoring runners and not touch tight.
That is down to coaching and set up. No doubt about it. For sure lads have switched off too, but it's down to not knowing your role and positioning

I honestly think I care too much… I’m scandalised by it all and it’s like county board, management, players - none of them give a fuck!
But again, I grew up in an era when Kildare won Leinsters, All Stars, competed for leagues & All Irelands. These days everyone just seems to accept we’re Tailteann Cup also rans!
I know Tommy,  but Jesus Christ  did you hear that post match interview?  The man is absolutely deluded. As a team you’d think they’d meet tonight and draw a line under the sand and say THAT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. I’m so angry as a kildare supporter this evening and more infuriated with those allowing this to continue (including the team) I probably care too much and shouldn’t. On a side note the Leinster council have to admit the Leinster championship is a beaten docket at this stage.
I have lived and loved Kildare my life. One of few things that ever made me cry. But today I laughed. They are half hearted and shite. I can't care for that. I'll post photo again as to level of intelligence but also, the free at end to get it back to three. Did anyone notice we were lucky as ref demanded retake. No idea who took it initially but picked it up like a pitch invader and drove it miles wide. It's so pathetic it is funny and that side won't get near a Tailteann. That'd take pride, effort and brains.

No sense of crisis or emergency at all.
I'm with you.
It's the Kildare gravy train. what else could it be?

I'm going to be honest here, and I won't apologise for saying it.
But Mick Gorman is the problem. He's even more out of his depth than Glen. The chap is so clueless in all aspects, it beggars belief.
Was it 13 or 14 wides and 2 butchered goal chances? Square pegs in round holes up front. At least we wont get annihilated again by Dublin. Hopefully we can find a couple of players in the Tailteann.
I'm going to ask again, and not singling out beyond reputation, why is Darragh Kirwan considered good at this level? I think he's drowning at it, he's so out of depth
Is there any chance that the club delegates will take control of this mess at the next board meeting. Try standing up for themselves and their county instead of the usual nodding dog, 45 minute meetings that have been the norm recently?
How the hell can they brush over this mess for much longer? The clubs need to instruct their delegates to fight against Gorman and co. This will only get worse if they don’t. He’ll be replaced by his hand picked minion and nothing will change.
This needs to stop. On the pitch and more importantly, off it.
fair play Shane Farrell he killed himself there today and was brilliant on the frees. also feely wasn't his best today but still got 0-3 or 0-4 and never stops trying.

In fairness, Kirwan has followed the template for the modern Kildare footballer: promising underage career & good couple of seasons at senior followed by gradual disintegration.
See also: Niall Kelly, Paddy Brophy, Paul Cribbin, David Hyland, Mark Donnellan etc etc.
Actually, at this stage, I am convinced Donnellan has had kompromat on series of Kildare managers.
I am genuinely starting to wonder if these lads are partying & going on beer throughout season… They have form in that regard. Is football more of a social thing for them?
They all look so unfit - Dan Flynn normally thin as rake & could be sumo wrestler at the present time. Sure what hope could you have!!
