Plus throw into the mix a rejuvenated Dublin, Cork with the taste of victory. Down also. It's wide open. Kerry and Tyrone will be back next year, make no mistake about it.
Nah, as good as Kerry still are, Tomas has lost half a yard and you cannot underestimate the loss of Mike McCarthy, Walsh, Kennelly and Darragh is irreplacable plus Scanlon and Tom O'Sullivan have gone way back. They could still win an All Ireland but are nowhere near the side of 06, 07 or even 09. As for Tyrone, McMenamin and Gormley are over the hill, McGinley has never been the player of 08, Hughes has never been the player of pre-08 and Stevie O'Neill is finished. Again, they could go a long way but to win an All Ireland now I don't think you need to be at the standard Armagh in the early part of the decade and Kerry and Tyrone throughout it were at. Cork winning it, Down, Dublin and Kildare nearly winning it proved that. Not saying an All Ireland is easy, just saying it's easier now that it has been in the qualifiers era.

| Ye good point Tommy, there are no giants to tumble at the moment just 6 or 7 teams in with a genuine shout of winning it. Kerry have lost so many brialliant footballers in the last year and with the Michela Harte tradegy will Mickey Harte and Tyrone be able to reinvent themselves?
Alot will depend on who we have injury free and at the moment 2 of our 3 all-stars are sidelined. A county like Kildare can't afford that.
