Agree with the comments. Laois tore through us and should have won by a lot more, if they'd taken a higher proportion of chances. We were cleaned out at midfield again, and the full back line was very weak; Bolton a liability with McGrillen unable for Kingston's strength. Forward line is struggling badly for form with every scoring chance being laboured. Very hard even to pick a man of the match for Kildare but maybe Flood gets it for a good recovery after Westmeath. Laois weren't brilliant themselves but were well up for it and had fine midfield performances from Quigley and Meaney.
Hopefully this is a case of "it's only the league" and there'll be a miraculous recovery come June 5th but right now a date with Louth in Navan is not something to warm the cockles, even if Louth haven't been pulling in trees in Division 3. They always seem to have a hoodoo over us in the c'ship.
