| Hey - I am not slagging but has anyone noticed how sorry the official website forum is! No posts in 5/6 weeks and the Chairman's section not used also! Why? | |

| I see the official forum is no longer, I wonder is this a permanent thing?
Are they coming for us next, should we be worried here? |

| Was never going to be a success. The old habits are starting to come back.... Next thing the fixtures and results won't be up to date. | |

| Yeah, but easiest way to deal with that is to boot the offender and stop new applicants for a week, not take the site down, bit knee jerk ahh well. | |

| Have to say that it is a pity if it is gone for good. Ok it was not being used on a daily bases but the ask the chairman sections was a useful tool. Would we have had the Rainbow testimonial if it had not be asked of the chairman on the forum????? | |

| They have failed to utilize a very powerful medium with which to engage with supporters. They should have put this poster up in the office | |

| I'm not worried about the forum because it's not being used. The site's primary role is as a means of information and it's nothing short of a disgrace, especially given the time put into it and the money spent on it. It's an embarrassment | |

I think that's a bit harsh Ogie. There has been quite a lot of coverage of the kildare games, and any club notes I've sent through have been up on the site within a few hours. The test will be keeping it up to date once the league starts and there is lots more to report on.

| It's funny the way different County boards view supporter interaction. Kerry, probably the most high profile county has link to a forum on it's official page where it's very busy and things are discussed good and bad. Laois have a link to the Laoistalk forum which as far as I know is independent and again there are positives and negatives discussed. It's a shame it's gone but they can have no one else but themselves to blame. If they had come out and said the old forum was being upgraded they may have kept a few members but to close it down without a word then then obviously posters would go elsewhere.
As for the website itself I think it's well updated and gives the information that's needed when it becomes available.
We are lucky here as as soon as info is available somebody posts it themselves, it does not have to go through or wait for someone else to access the official site.

The website has a fixtures and results section and they can't even keep that up to date and that's since last Oct. There'll be no chance of it working for the coming year. Ogie I'd agree with everything you said. It is a disgrace. This is meant to be the first stop for all information you need to know about Kildare GAA and to be honest it's a poor website. You get more info from The Hogan Stand website than the county one.
