| How many times did we hear that Kildare were a one man team in the shape of J.D, well the poor auld Dubs are may hear that phrase a few times this year.
I agree it seems we are a one trick pony , but we lost cullen , brogan , and strangely connelly not injured , so yeah we were in trouble yesterday but in saying that cork lost Gould , Kerrigan, Pierce O Neill , so it goes to show the depth of corks squad , to still push on 8 points down
Brogan went off quickly which was followed by the all to familiar Dublin collapse. No outlet ball into the forwards and no free taker.
Quinn yesterday proved without doubt he is unable for the big days ahead , his attuitude to the second free was terrible , hadnt a clue what to do ,
If he has a dodgy hamstring that could go at any time this year the dubs are toast.
I agree again somwhat but remember there is A brogan , O Gara , Davoren , Rock , to name a few to come back in summer
8 points up with twenty to go and they screw it up again. Great team when everything is going their way, absolutely clueless when it's not.
but keep in mind we have more experienced players who shall be back ,who will strenghen this team , furthar , so all is not lost
But No excusses they bottled it yesterday , but some how i dont think this will define there year , hopefully better to come , and that hurt will spur them on

- No point in reading too much into today's matches. In a way, I think Dublin's defeat in particular could be a blessing in disguise for them. That result will have brought them back down to earth and a few players were shown up as not good enough. They'll be able to prepare now without a lot of the hype. They're not too far away and are probably in better shape than most counties at the moment. Had Connolly or Cullen stayed on the field (never mind Brogan), they'd have won today. Some of the forwards they brought on in the second half today were woeful.
Exactly 100% agree , this is a blessing , no mad bullsh.t hype , brought down to earth , better to prepare without it , the focus is now on kerry tyrone cork, but like any countyaspirations titles are a bonus
Laois played some good football in the second half but their full-back line will be their achilles heel, just like it was in Newbridge. They had no one to limit Murphy's influence. Their midfield and forwards though will ensure they're dangerous in the summer and if they get McMahon back they'll give Dublin a run for their money. Hmm . if we have Fennell Mc Connell , we shall see

As a poster elsewhere put it , this best describe the Dublin team I think we can be described as a group of bees. We have a lot of worker bees but we have very few honey bees.
Honey bees are the ones that get you over the line. Worker bees just get you to the line.

| your honey bee vodafone, is as good as any honey bee in the land though. Maybe the best honey bee in the land.
No-one has a panel like Cork, and that strength in depth showed again. They need that though because they have a lot of worker bees and a couple of honey bees, but no honey bee of the class of Brogan, Cooper, O'Neill... yet. Sheehan might be headed in that direction and Donncha O'Connor is decent. I had really high hopes for Goulding but he's flattering to deceive, with some good moments but not enough for someone of his ability. People have constantly said Counihan doesn't know his best 15... that's because a lot of guys are the same. Paddy Kelly is another, who might be stepping up in fairness. The pressure is off them now and I reckon it will show in the summer.

| €15 is good for 2 championship games.
We're creeping up on this game, only two weeks away this Sunday. Any ideas on any challenge games the team have been playing.
Any word on injuries or anything?

| I've heard Wicklow aren't doing too well. Patrick McWalters out with a broken leg. Paul Earls and Jack Dalton are injured at the moment too. They'd be some of their main players. Plus Leighton Glynn and one other player will be playing for the hurlers the day before so it's not ideal for them. Wicklow will be well up for it against us but I'd expect us to win by 3 or 4. | |

| I'm only guessing what I think will happen. What do yee think will be the outcome?
Wicklow people I've heard from aren't as confident as they were the last time we played them.
Anything could happen on the day but I predict a Kildare win.
