| saw similar thread to this on hogan stand and though Kildare perspective would be interesting
For me it would be -
Highs Obvious really, Beating meath in Navan and Laois in Portlaoise Beating meath 3 times in 2011! Emergence of more great talent in 2011, foley, connolly, o connor, The potential that has now emerged for 2012 if all injuries clear up........... And as much as it Kills me it was great to see the Dubs lift sam, I think it gives us hope that our day will come too
Lows Losing to Donegal , the square ball that wasn't , losing to Dublin, that free...., Refereeing decisions deciding Kildares faith for another year........ Kildare injuries

| highs: obyrne cup beating louth at the death (even though its not that important) beating Laois and meath (twice)
Lows: loosing to donegal (wasnt a quare ball) and dublin (which wasnt a free) loss of our midfielders, and other injuries

| I agree very little highs apart from the laois and meath victories. The low was of course loosing against dublin and donegal given the circumstances involved. | |

| Highs... Shane Connolly in goals... I didn't have one bowel movement this year when a ball was lobbed in on him...Solid Conways return
Lows.... The snowballing injury list.. It seemed like every Thursday before a match someone got broke up

Ahh come on Mr Connolly, he's far from teh finished article. Dublin goal straight through his hands, Graham Gerathy's disallowed goal way too easy, Donegals goal was savable and perfect height for saving, jumping with the full backs. Goalkeeper position still hasn't been tied down in my humble opinion. Highs for me was Laois, Mick Foley, John Doyle and his mid-field antics plus the return of Mikey. Lows inconsistant refereeing standard

| Highs...... Foley all season O'Connor in some games Lynch against Laois Flynn against Donegal
Lows Wrong tactics against Dublin Wrong substitutions against Donegal ( both games we could have won ) Referee in Donegal match ( overruling goal and adding to much injury time ) Injury to top players

| Stonecold, haven't seen anyone post that he is the finished article - but it certainly was an impressive enough debut season in my eyes. He has made the number 1 jersey his own and it is up to him to improve on his weaknesses and develop further - his authority under the high ball is impressive as Jimmy White states.
Would love to see him vary his kickouts a bit more ala Cluxton.

| Ah come on a bit harsh on connolly there. Agree he's got areas he can improve on just like any player but thought he had a solid first season. Don't think beating Meath or Laois can be seen as highs. It's always great to beat the local rivals, but they are not teams we should be setting our sights on with the quality of our team. Highs Emergence of Mick Foley as a genuine full back. Tomás O' Connor as an option in full forward Increased competition for places
Lows Not beating Dublin or Donegal as they were there for the taking, Donegal in particular. Poor refereeing decisions..AGAIN.
