Suppose I should have directed my question directly to Gonzo..

| If this is correct, it is disgraceful and a cop out by the County Board, spineless to say the least. Nothing got to do with the timing of the football games but using the hurling game as a solution, a disgrace. | |

| Thats not a satisfactory soltion. With due respect Hurlers involved, that game as a standalone fixture would attract a couple of hundred. Minor final involving Athy and Sarsfields could draw ten times that. | |

| Why are Sarsfields inly raising this now. This is their third senior final in a row and their minors were always going to get to county final this year. This situation has not occurred out of leftfield. Congrats to the club on their success this year but they knew the score all year re county final but you cant expect to have blueribbon day of Kildsre GAA altered this lste in competition. Minor final before senior is a tradition in Kildare. Unfair to the minors . I would also predict a lot of Athy suppirt wont bother stick around after minor game. If this true, county board have reduced attendance and thus diluted county final day. | |

| Having the hurling on in between is a lazy solution, it does not solve the problem of player welfare. a couple of extra hours of rest at this intensity will mean very little. Very Disrespectful to the hurlers. a couple of things struck me, imagine if the sash had hurlers playing that day, what would we do then, go on Joe Duffy show?? but no doubt, a neutral with a sash keyboard will be able to tell me that back in 1934. we played a minor game , then a hurling game, followed by handball and eventually played the senior game under floodlights all on the big day but this was all to benefit the other team. | |

| I don't think the Naas hurling people will be happy having to pay €15 to attend the intermediate hurling final. | |

| Imagine a club , at a County Board meeting, in May or June, standing up and announcing that they would be in both the Senior & Minor Finals with 11 cross-over players and the CB better organise separate dates............
Not only would they be laughed out off the meeting but it would be the twitter & Forum joke of the century within minutes and Tommy in the Leader would have a Front Page headline making complete fools of them....................
This is a CB mess and the delegates, with their petty attitudes, just would not sort it........... BTA attitude !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| This is Sarsfields third final in a row. It is the best minor team in Kildare by s mile so its hardly incredible that both ended up in finals. They could easily have made the case. | |

| I can see this thing happening again in the future maybe not to the same extent as this year where the number is a dozen but there will be a crossover of 3/4 on most teams, Towers used 4 minors yesterday, what happens if there is not an Intermediate hurling final to throw in the middle to give the players some chance of performing in both games? TMH won the all-Ireland junior this year with 3/4 minors on their team, would they have been able to do so without them?
I wonder will it brought before convention next year to change the dates to accommodate this situation? Or will every year be treated on a case by case basis?

| this is Sarsfield problem and going crying to county board is a joke. earlier on in this forum, The Sashes posters, were telling other clubs to get its act together in ref to Champ C and the parachuting of the U16A Champions into that champ 48 hours after a their final. holding back on players from Champ A, then parachuting them as well, they told us to get on with it. These particular Posters have gone quiet of late. now hurlers have to pay 15 Euro for a ticket because the bridge you told us you would cross when the time came is here and you only have 17 "real" senior players. please just get on with it. have respect for the lads that were training all year and have been loyal to your club | |

I think the issue is if your are a Naas hurling supporter and you wish to attend the hurling final it is now going to cost you €15.00 each whereas under normal circumstances it would probably be €5. Athy, Sarsfields and Moorefield supporters always knew it was going to be €15.

| The charge for lntermediate hurling is 5e so very unfair on naas having to pay 15e. Would it not be wise if the county board supplied naas club with passes and entry on the day be 5e with valid pass. | |

| A warning for Sash minor fans, I was at the Semi finals and I know of some people who wanted to get a pass out after the first game to get some food and bring their minors for something to eat which was the minor D final and come back in later to see second half of first semi and all second semi, but no pass out available and if you left the ground you must pay again to re enter. A long day for Sash fans and having to sit through wathching Moorefield maybe winning a hurling title. Do I hear further rumblings | |
