Has Nash borrowed that left peg from Mikey Conway? His passing into the inside line was so reminiscent of the Nurney man.

That first 8 minutes though - incredible football. The execution of off-the shoulder running and crisp passing with hand and foot was impressive.

For all our issues we really are doing something right in this county.

Can see Masterson and McLoughlin stepping up to senior next year. Masterson has grown on me. Although not blessed with pace he’s a real leader and gets himself around the pitch. Serious work rate.

Re Jimmy, he went over on an ankle early on and I think was struggling thereafter.

Well done to Kildare 20's last night, the first 15 minute was out of the Kerry playbook with movement, quick hands ,off shoulder running and good finishing. Kildare then started playing possession football with endless hand passing which was frustrating to watch at times. The man marking last night by full back line was first class and Offaly "names" could not hack it. Masterson dominated in the air at midfield, Ryan,Nash and McLoughlin were good on ball.
We are going to concede goals if we continue to hand pass ball and run out the middle from full back line, one turnover and opposition are in on goals. Short kick out cost us 1-1 last night and should be avoided unless towards side line.
Its an awful pity that Jack Robinson is not around as he would offer a different threat up front but fair play to lads on pitch who are improving with every game.
BTW: Great to see players on pitch chatting with friends, family and supporters at end of game and young lads on pitch at halftime. This is what GAA is about.

Great performance. Jack Robinson would nt get on that team. No loss if he does nt want to put in the hard graft . Why are people always on about the players that are not there rather than the ones that are. Nash was top drawer last night . Very good performance from a well organised team. Hopefully Meath win tonight and we get another crack at them. The Navan game between us was a cracker

Er, I think I may have overstated the work Meath are doing at underage. I honestly think at this stage we're the only Leinster county left standing - teams & supporters - who will consistently stand up to the Dubs. Meath have gone soft - a delicious reversal of the shite they used to fling at us...

Jason Sherlock managing Dubs - he puts a big emphasis on dragging the opposition defence out of position. They are all about constant movement and positional interchange. If we get a handle on that - know when to stay and when to go, and keep a good defensive shape - and (the cardinal rule for all Kildare teams playing Dublin) stop them scoring goals, we have the players to ask serious questions of them at the other end.

Have to say a win tonight & tomorrow would make this one of my best ever weekends following Kildare. Get stuck in lads & don't let up for 70 mins. Do that & we have a great chance.

Best of luck. Cill Dara Abu.

Best of luck to this bunch of lads who have put in a lot of hard work so far this year and will fear no team and have the players and ability to win this one..

Jason Sherlock was joint manager of the under 17s. Nothing to do with this group. Tom Grey managed last year's Dublin minors and is very shrewd. Win midfield and stop James Madden and we win. Our inside forwards have the beating of that full back line and in fairness probably vice versa.

COME ON KILDARE

Yes apols Shergar - saw some headline about Sherlock managing them that was totally wrong! But tactical points still valid.

Anyway - come on Kildare!

Only half-time but regardless of second-half, the future is bright. First time seeing them, being abroad. 7-0 up on marks, forwards cannot miss, Jimmy Hyland unplayable, serious goalkeeper, good tactics, busy backs that go in hard and stay close. Really enjoyed that. Anyway, long way to go but as I say, regardless...

Ask the players and former players about the coach.
We are bullying the dubs . We are playing keep ball in a Leinster final . This is unreal performance.
