In successive weeks this team has turned in two of the best underage Kildare performances I've ever seen.

Congrats to team & management, absolutely outstanding stuff.

Another great outcome. The screw turns. Dublin’s dominance will end and this result confirms that Kildare are ready to take over. That has to be the focus now.
Well done to all underage coaches

Absolutely brilliant display, dominated the Dubs. Some serious talent in that team. It's been some month for Kildare fans. Hopefully they can put in a similar display against Kerry, If they do they won't be far away.

Gutted to have to miss that especially after I could see the huge potential in this team last week in the semi-final. Great to see a Kildare team play with such confidence and skill.
This could be a turning point in the Kildare -Dublin rivalry and hopefully the minors continue the trend. Huge credit to all involved at underage for the last 10 years.

Excellent performance from 1 to 15. Really tenacious and clever in their use of the ball after the initial first 15 minutes where we put ourselves under a bit of pressure. Best of luck to them for remainder of campaign.

Ps: ref was an absolute joke and thank god it wasn't a close game or I'd have feared the worst

Absolutely brilliant performance from Kildare, one of the best I've seen at underage level.

Congrats to players and management. You did the county proud tonight!

Long may this run of results for Kildare teams continue. Witnessing a Kildare team toying with a Dublin team is good for the soul!

Brilliant performance. The tackling was just incredible tonight - so often they closed out Dublin attacks and in fairness the senior team could have learned from that performance. And in Jimmy Hyland we have a special talent.........

Great to see the Kildare fans outnumber the Dubs as well.

6 weeks ago Brian McLoughlin bailed out an entire team that underperformed v Laois. Tonight the team returned the complement when he was having a bad night (apart from one massive point). And if anyone deserved a pass it was him for how he has put himself on the line for Kildare underage teams often carrying injuries in the last few years.

The defensive turnaround is truly staggering and the management team deserve credit for making big calls particularly backing the young lad from Ardclough to do a job at this level and Bambrick marked his man out of the game tonight. Not always pretty to watch but Dublin were determined to keep 2 half backs in front of the fullback line so that left room out the field and once they settled down they exploited it intelligently.

Feel for John O Toole. Talked up as a man to fix the senior full back line in the future not that long ago, not even on the bench tonight. Hopefully he can bounce back.

I actually thought McLoughlin was excellent again. It's uncanny how reminiscent he is of Colm O'Rourke. That first half point was epic.

This team was actually missing three of the best players from the minor side of 2016 - O'Toole, David Shaw & Jack Robinson.

Heroes all over the pitch. When you think that this group has now won Minor and under 20 and absolutely dominated their provincial finals their pedigree looks at least as good as the 2010/2013 teams that now form the backbone at senior.

Thought O’Neill, Barrett, Gibbons, Archbold, Marnell, Ryan, Nash, O Giollain all heroic tonight in addition to Hyland and Masterson.

The team played with absolute conviction and worked like dogs for each other.

Dare I say it but it reminded me of Micko’s team at senior level. It was that good.

Only slight concern is that Kerry, as we saw two years ago, are a huge step up. And we’d have to be a lot more clinical.

But that’s for next week.

What a month!!  11 successive wins I make it since our last defeat at any grade of football.

I said in 2016 I thought this group was as good as 2010 - had the listen to a load of nonsense about that of course.

They have all the qualities you need for a top team. Have to say fair play to Cian O'Neill as well for ignoring the nonsense about calling up half of them for the Derry game, or whatever people were saying.

As for next week... Bad news: Kerry 2016 is the best minor team I've ever seen. Good news: They're missing their two most influential players, Sean O'Shea & David Clifford.

Generally, when Kildare teams either (1) beat Dublin or (2) win Leinster we lose the run of ourselves & treat the next stage like the UEFA Super Cup or something. It's the double-whammy this time!

I think a problem is that Kildare teams generally don't start out with the ambition of winning an All Ireland so we look a bit lost when we get into knockout stages. Hoping these boys knuckle down during the week & decide to drive on. It's about time we did it tbh. These opportunities don't come around too often - best to go after it at full tilt.

Interesting stat: there have been only TWO underage Leinster titles this decade not won by Kildare or Dublin. Minor 2010 (which we should have won - Longford ambush) and U21 2011 (Wexford).

There was that makey-uppy one Meath won last year but they've done eff all of any substance this decade tbh.

Think he's gone travelling... He's actually a bit of a genius so winning it without him not to be sniffed at. Not sure what the story is with O'Toole & Shaw.

It's actually further testament to the underage work being done in Kildare that we can lose players of that calibre & still leather Financial Dopers FC in the Leinster final.

O Neill in goal was excellent. Its arguably the most important position on the pitch in the modern era so its great to see such talent coming through. Done very well under high balls, made a huge save at a crucial time in the game and his kickouts were spot on.

This is definitely the problem, beating Dublin at any grade is seen as the holy grail, but hopefully these guys can kick on and avenge the scutchying they got from Kerry in '16.
Kildare were only 4 points down in that game 10 minutes into the second half, so it's not as if they were outclassed from start to finish.
Kerry really kicked on in the last 20 mins and our lads' heads probably dropped a little bit.
