Great result, seems the team played well in the first half and had to game over by half time. Anybody add anymore to what has being posted elsewhere online already?

Pretty much as stated, tore into them the first half and were impressive. McCormack played well (and seems to have a great appetite and work rate), Jimmy is just a star (picked up a hamstring problem early in the second half, hopefully be OK for the league), Barrett looks comfortable at FB, DJ played well in the corner.

Adam Tryell was immense, never stopped running, worked hard all night, some excellent passes and took a few nice scores, looks well up for it and could be a real nice addition.

7/8 subs in the second half probably added to a less effective display - but seem to be going well, 6 scoring forwards on display and all 6 six scored from play in the first half.

O’Toole wasn’t on as much ball as DJ, not as effective but did OK.
Thought Nash was decent worked his socks, obviously better in the first half - showed well and was on plenty of ball.

Interesting to see Westmeath have named as strong a team as they can in the absence of Heslin. Will be a better indicator of where the players are at 3 weeks before Armagh.

What's the story with Podge Fogarty. As soon as he showed up to his first training session looking like that he should have been sent home. It's an embarrassment to have a player in an inter-county squad in that shape

Dowling and Connell in the middle. Two average club players. It was never going to end well.

Poor enough from both teams and not helped by the new rules. Decision making and shooting was poor even when the more established lads came on. Not the end of the world by any means and hopefully a few new faces can kick on

Armagh this day 3 weeks in Conleths is what matters, hard to take this nonsense competition seriously when 3 semi finalists will be playing their 4th game while the remaining semi finalist (who probably happen to be the most powerful team ever assembled) will be playing their first......only in the GAA

3 games is probably enough in this competition. Need to use the remaining time wisely to have our strongest team for Armagh. Hopefully some of the younger lads can really push on and become regulars. Win and we are in a great position heading down to Cork, lose and it suddenly becomes a daunting trip.

Far from the end of the world and probably 6/7 players to come back into the team who will hopefully make a difference. As mentioned Armagh game is huge and they seem to be going quite well at the minute. Anybody have any idea of Mick O Grady's availability/fitness. I know he was listed on the panel but has not seen any game time yet this year.

My team v Armagh would probably look something like this.

Donnellan

Dempsey
Hyland
O Grady

Keith Cribben
Eoin Doyle
Kevin Flynn

Feely
Moolick

Conway
Paul Cribbin
Paddy Brophy

Neill Flynn
Ben McCormack
Jimmy Hyland

Obviously the above is injury and availability permitting.

Unless he is injured why wasnt young O'Neill given some game time in goals ?? Surely to keep lads interested this was an ideal opportunity ??? Sub Keeper is a poxy poistion but to keep them interested some game time is valuable ??

He's injured - it prevented him taking part in the AFL combine in UCD
