Club Scene 2019

Yesterday's win while very good for Sarsfields in my opinion made it more difficult for us to win the championship as it will be extremely difficult to beat Moorefield twice in the same championship.

Sarsfields should top the group now though and avoid Celbridge and Athy and Moorefield in the quarter finals which will be a help.

Sash deserved their win yesterday. They did their best to keep Moorefield in it but best team by far.
Confey beating Carbury was a shock.
Castledermot V Nass was a shock

Leixlip will take beating in the Intermediate.
Very disappointed in Sallins.
JTB although winning obviously were not impressive. Clane although having potential are not one of the stronger Senior clubs at the minute.

Ballymore to win the junior. And they derserve no credit if they do imo. They are an intermediate club who did not bother to put in any effort to stay upat that level. And its happened more than once .

Celbridge although winning easy don't look too hot to me. They really rely on one or two players.

How Laurences lost I do not know. Should of been out of site but kept letting Maynooth back into it and totally collapsed in the last 15 minutes.

Are Ballymore trying to sniff out a Junior Leinster/All-Ireland ?? Should never be down in junior. Far too good for that level.

Nothing against them but they have thrown in the towel a couple times in the last 5 years and won a handy junior. and looks like it again. No enjoyment in that imo.

Top 3 qualify, top 1 into quarter and 2nd v 3rd into last 12? If thats case, Moores will probably get a big fish in quarters.

so do all the teams finish 2nd play the teams who finish 3rd or is it an open draw ?

Agreed club fan. Shay Ryan smothered Tyrell out of game. Made him look ordinary.

What's the craic with Naas?

Div 1 Champions heading for relegation playoffs.

Naas beat Maynooth next day and still in the second round I believe. Athy seemed far more comfortable than the scoreline judging by following it online. Seemed to pull up when game over early.

Kilcullen got an awful battering again.. heading back to the Junior ranks I'd say.

I think if Maynooth draw or win v Castledermot, Naas are out

Shocking stuff from Naas. No offence to Laurence's. They are a good solid team.
Delighted ballymore lost. Hope they stay junior.

My reading is same as lilyboy re Naas any result other than a castledermot win v Maynooth sees them heading for relegation playoffs.

Are Naas not paying massive money this year on the coaching setup?

Yeah, think Liam McHale is a selector and open to correction but is Liam Hayes their consultant?
