We've a couple of refs in my club, if seen the letter and the refs not happy about what's in it, it's all about what cb want, no support for refs or what would happen to clubs if refs are treated the way they are being, some refs are standing down, cb ringing around to find replacements. This is no good for our games going forward, No Ref no game

I was on both sides of the line and some times I had to 'count to 10' on the sideline during and after games, I should have known better.

On the other hand I was told that I was a 'decent' ref however I would never ref again, ever.

Yeah. Letter won't do much but it's a massive issue in most counties. Until new rules imposed and adhered to it will stay same. Anyone have any ideas on what rules we can impose to improve situation.

The appeal process/culture in GAA needs to change, its so disrespectful to officials that nearly every red card is appealed in the hope of getting off on some technicality or other. Every club/county tries it. GAA needs to bring in a penalty for a frivolous appeal. An extra game or something along those lines. Refs have their part to play here too, the idea of the club secretary or somebody else within a club approaching the ref after a player has been sent off on a straight red to ask the ref to put it in as 2 yellows, no ref should consider doing that. It totally destroys their authority and credibility the next time they ref that team.

Reffing is thankless task and many don’t realise no referees = no game. Gobshites like Philie Woulfe slating a Ted on Twitter after games he was manager off is appalling

2 absolute non events in Conleths both Celbridge and Moorefield played well but the opposition in both cases were extremely poor and only managed 11 points between them. Ger McNally sent out a stat during the week that the top 4 have played 84 matches between them since 2013 against non top 4 teams and have only lost one. Larries v Athy in 2015. Athy still wound up in the county final that year. From what I saw today that gap is increasing.

Extremely poor i heard. Coaches should be embarrassed. Sarsfields will do the same to eadestown and athy will win readily. Sash and moores kept apart in draw. Heard tony archbold and conway were untouchable yesterday .

I don't know why people are slating other clubs. They are trying their best but these other clubs are just way ahead at the minute.

Two mouthwatering if very predictable semi finals.

Side note... I really didn’t agree with GAA putting back senior All Irelands & ceding valuable promtional space. September was GAA month & should have stayed that way.

It doesn’t get utilized anyway so it’s a useless gesture. Look at the situation in our county... Kildare went out of championship on June 29. There’s now three week break to semi final... By the time championship ends it will have taken FOUR MONTHS to complete.

The World Cup takes one.
