So 5 from 2018 winning team are involved with the current set up. Darragh Ryan & Brian McLoughlin were involved last year but off travelling this year. Mark Dempsey, Nash and DJ Earley have been involved in senior squad before.
Parnell Park is a nice spot for a game. This team are well capable and have showed good bottle to come back since losing to Westmeath in the opening game.

Is there any reason Brendan Gibbons can't/ won't tog on Saturday ? Seniors not out for a few weeks and he's not getting game time with them anyway. He would be a massive addition for the 20s. I'm pretty sure he's still u20 this year.

Quiet build-up. Best of luck to the players and management. If they can deal with the kickouts on top of Murdoch, their big midfielder, they have a good chance, just need to take a few more of these chances to make life easier for themselves.

One change to the team for tomorrow night with Oisin O’Sullivan coming back in at corner forward in place of Eoin Cully.
1 Cormac Barker 2 Harry O’Neill 3 Tomas Von Engelbrechten 4 Ryan Burke 5 James Harris 6 James McGrath 7 Jack McKevitt 8 Fionn Cooke 9 Shane Farrell 10 Ryan Sinkey 11 Callum Bolton 12 Colm Dalton 13 Adam Fanning 14 Niall Dolan 15 Oisin O’Sullivan
Subs; 16 David McPartlin, 17 Ethan Mountaine, 18 Fionn O’Giollain, 19 Daire Guerin, 20 Sean Hanifan, 21 Killian Browne, 22 Darragh Swords, 23 Eoin Cully, 24 Sam Savage
We seem to have played our best football this year in better weather conditions which is hopefully a good sign if the weather holds up. Dry pitch, pace on the ball and plenty of movement from the half back line up with a lot of players capable of shooting from distance and kicking quick ball into the forward line.
Best of luck to all involved.

Best of luck lads, I will be cheering you on every step of the way like a maniac. It’s a great opportunity so make sure to empty yourselves & leave it all out there. Two consecutive All Ireland finals, and a third in five years, would be an absolutely incredible achievement & suggest the future is very bright.

I'd to switch off after 15 minutes. They might win in my absence but life is genuinely too short to work all week to spend your Saturday watching that scutter.

Well Tommy that's some post ,laying into a great gutsy group of kildare players ,playing 5 games in a month ,it was brilliant to see a kildare team with such passion and dedication to the cause you should reflect and withdraw your comment

Second half was honestly everything you want to see in Kildare football - the fight, composure & qualify of the play. Burke display INCREDIBLE.
In particular, Dolan & McKevitt’s points were so sublime they were fucking scandalous.
A classic game & one of the great underage Kildare performances. Can’t wait to go back & watch it again!!

Brilliant win, the sideline kick will be point of the season at any level, better than Maurice Fitz effort.. Such a terrible shame to see a very good Down side be coached to play that way at that age. They could have taken Kildare on playing proper football rather than having it coached out of them. Anyway that's their problem, well done Kildare

I'll say it so. Those lads have endless balls but talent? Isn't that the point of underage? In saying that the number six and today nine are warriors. And weird for a Kildare team to find ways to win a game, lose it and win it again. Thrilled for them and their heart and that young man who I presume had an arm break.
As for game, I'll analyse it the same as if we lost by a point. Atrocious rubbish in a system filled with fear. Same as Sligo Kerry. Boring structures curtailing fun and flair so it's like watching under-14s play rugby league. I'm sure people thrilled will tell me having 80 per cent possession but kicking nine wides, not scoring, and being six down while playing suicide-watch football across an actual third of a game against an abysmal opponent you are so evidently better than, is an achievement and good for you. Not for me.
Anyway, well done but can anyone tell me if Down had kicked the last point rather than us if we'd be dribbling over that? Maybe my standards are too high at average. Frankly I thought it was shite.

Being 19 and playing a game of GAA a week is now an achievement. God help us all. Soft.
