Fantastic result and just rewards for this team and their management. Congratulations and thank you to the clubs who developed them before passing them over to the county set up. The most impressive thing about this group is their mentality. Whoever has been in charge of that has made the most significant contribution to this team. I’ve a feeling it’s our guru from Naas CBS. Enjoy the celebrations and hopefully onwards for these lads. I can see 5/6 lads who could have long careers with the county. Hopefully I’m right. A winning mentality can now be passed down to the next team, which isn’t too bad either. Let’s push on! Let’s keep the development of players going.
And most of all, let’s recognise those who have planned, implemented and developed these systems and players.
We must not let them go! We can’t allow the gombeen men/women of the county board waste them, or turn them away.

You couldnt just congratulate the team without having a pop at the county board?
The county board have provided all that this team needed to prepare and win an all-ireland final, including appointing this management team. Added to that that is the redevelopment of St Conleths getting underway.
Well done to all involved

There’s Trojan work being done in Kildare underage football, credit to all involved. That’s 2 All-Ireland’s and 3 Leinsters in the last 6 years at under 20 level.
Hopefully we can push on now at senior level with these lads coming through. We have to become a consistent division 1 team and start bridging the gap with the Mayos and Tyrones.
A special mention to Brian Flanagan as well. With Kildare 2 points up and Sligo piling on the pressure he pushed 11 men into the Sligo half for their kickout and we scored 1-1 from turnovers from the subsequent 2 kickouts killing the game. Surely he has to be in the hat for the senior job next year.

Not a pop. Delighted with our underage progress. It’s down to young people getting involved and pushing things on.
The redevelopment of Conleth’s is great. About two decades late so sorry if I can’t give credit to the board for stumbling into action.
My general point is that we need to look at who’s being innovative within our underage system? Who’s driving standards on? Who’s changing the entire mentality of their county teams? It’s those people that we need more of and more of them in decision making positions.
Time to move on. Some need to move out to pasture. Let the new blood take us forward on and off the pitch. The days of raffles and walks need to be over. These young lads deserve better.

When you say you are not having a pop while calling them gombeens it kinda undermines your argument.
It's not the day for getting involved in a ding-dong about the administration of Kildare GAA so ill just leave it by saying a huge congratulations to all involved today. Brian Flanagan has surely put his name in the hat for next senior manager. The future is lilywhite. Cill Dara abú

Great game, and great to be able to be there to savor an All Ireland win… will done to all involved. Who would you pick for man of the match? Sean Hanifin played very well, as did several others!

O’Neill’s epic point in the second half was a hugely important moment.
Between underage & schools we are putting up incredible stats at this stage… Over the past decade, Kildare teams have won 11 Leinsters & contested 5 All Irelands, winning 3. Moorefield won a Leinster club in 2017 & Naas contested another final in 2021.
As someone said earlier, at this stage we shouldn’t be accepting anything less than Div 1 status, and contesting hard in the AI series a la Mayo & Tyrone.
What’s exciting as well is that we’re producing top coaches like Flanagan, Burke, Cribben, Ward. Hopefully we can translate it all into a successful era at senior - it’s long overdue.

Sligo were a game side, but they were missing a few key players & honestly we just had far too much quality for them all over the field. They were also totally cleaned out in the physical exchanges as well.
Our middle eight were excellent & once we had a decent amount of possession, our classy forwards were swinging over points from everywhere. We got a brilliant impact off the bench too with Mountaine, Browne & Cully.
Hanafin was a good shout for MOTM & switching him & Dolan was another inspired tactical move from Flanagan. If Hanafin had scored that goal chance he cracked off crossbar would really have crowned the performance.
Naas actually have the raw materials to compete hard for a club AI over the next number of years - they have better forwards than Moorefield ever had - but that’s for another day.

Brilliant campaign, (2 campaigns counting last year) Brilliant for those young lads and a real shot in the arm for Kildare football, Sligo were a good side, at 13 to 11 it was getting a bit hairy, put the press on the kickouts lead to the goalkeeper errors and we were good enough to capitalise, Bravery and Initiative rewarded, Fantastic

I think there were 12 different scorers which is remarkable. Which player made that brilliant diving block in the first half?

Well done all.. Great result. McGrath has been my standout Player of the Campaign. If I was Glen I'd bring a few of those Fellas in straight away. I bet Sligo do. Then again, what's the point, as you need a loyalty card stamped to get on that Kildare Team.

Who's not on it that should be on it?
I think Glen will bring a couple in straight away. We have serious depth going into the all-ireland now which is great to see.
Still on a high after yesterday. Brilliant win from a great group of players

They come a long way since the opening day defeat to Westmeath. A joy to watch.
Hopefully this group can be managed a bit better in terms of transition to senior.

Glenn in the nationalist this week when asked about bringing the Under 20s in this campaign:
"I wouldn't even be thinking of that yet. I'll be letting them enjoy the win and we'll then sit down with Brian and we'll go through things with him and he will have a big input into anything we do going forward"
Positive words there.
