Clueless. Rudderless.

No direction . Bizarre tactics. Bizarre team selections.

It's quite evident to me that Ryan, Rainbow Dermot and Johnny do not have any grasp on what they want to do.
And I take no satisfaction in saying that. 4 legends of Kildare football.

Home hammering to the worst Cork Football team in history.
Staring down the barrel of another relegation.

Bring in Malachy O Rourke now for rest of season.

2-14 to 0-07

7 scores in 75 minutes of football.
28 minutes to score our first point. Red card.

13 points hammering at home.

Everyone involved should be embarrassed.

The worst performance I've seen from Kildare.
Completely clueless. Absolutely nothing positive to take from.
We are getting relegated.

The performance today is not acceptable by any standards. Anyone who accepts it is complicit.

The performance against Dublin in Croke Park last summer was a low.

Today was yet another low and far more worrying. Lethargic, rudderless and not a single leader on the pitch. Beaten by 13 points AT HOME against an average DIVISION 2 team

Absolutely pathetic performance from all around.
Not competitive against a Cork side on our home patch.
Only Kildare would give the ring around to a promising manager who won an all Ireland title for the county.
Got behind the kildare legends because that’s what they are but not sure Ryan would’ve gotten the job had it not of been for the  other boys rolling in under his ticket.
Burke should get the job at the end of this tenure. Should’ve gotten it from the start.
I’m depressed after that and depressed for what the rest of the season will look like if the same management team don’t held themselves accountable after that scandalous performance.

Shame, he was dying for the job. County board should of been chasing him to take the reigns, instead it was the other way around. Shows the incompetence of these fellas. Be surprised if he'd even bother wanting that gig again. Talk to any of the lads he has managed be it Sars, u21 or confey, they'll tell ya the level he operates and how'd they'd run through walls for him. Knew this would bite us on the arse.

The board didn’t go for the obvious right candidate for the job.
I’d nearly go managerless for the rest of the season at this stage.

After Leinster final last year, I argued for a change of management on here. Mayo game saved their bacon but unfortunately Leinster final is a more accurate reflection of how far we are from top table.

At this stage, doubt Burke would leave Roscommon next year so probably Brian Flanagan in line if a Malachy O’Rourke-type figure not interested. Unfortunately, might be a lot more pain in store before then.

No County gets rid of managers mid season. Unless the manager walks. Even if he does decide it's not for him which I seriously doubt there is no one to come in now.

Sure we may aswell do a Naas on it at this point. Get rid during the season why not? Nothing to lose and If Jack O C left Kildare when his own county came calling. I'm PRAYING Burke will do the same.

Won't make a difference. No one steps back. We are losers. This team is another bunch of weak men. We churn them out. Told you all last year after Dublin loss how a chunk were in Anderson's in Athy. Hammered by afternoon, obnoxious by early evening when call came through that Dublin lads invited them to Coppers and the excitement. They're a bunch of losers. Sorry but time to get real.

Would anyone consider, even for one minute, that we are simply not good enough, our last All Ireland senior win was 95 years ago.

Anyone just consider, that the type of attitude that won’t change anything. Christ we aren’t asking to win the all Ireland today but at least, at the very least come out and have a game plan and put in a decent performance in front of the home crowd that turned out to support you. On top of that it was paramount to keep the pressure off and get the 2 points at home today.

Attitude isn't there in players. Doesn't matter who manages them. Hate to be cruel but there's more brains in my right big toe and more passion in my left big toe. Has anyone ever spoken with or dealt with these lads? You can train a monkey. There's neither a passion to win for Kildare or a footballing intelligence to understand how to win. Compare this with the passion and cerebral players like Glenn, Lacey, Willie, etc. This generation have talent but are undriven gobshites in the context of all Ireland winners.

Stay where you are Davy.
TK summed it all up.
Always easy to blame the Management.

The same meltdown happens every year on this forum. It would be hilarious to look in on if I wasn’t a fan. No we’re not going to sack our manager in February after 2 competitive matches.

The reality is Kildare supporters expectations and reality are further apart than any other county in Ireland. There’s serious structural problems in Kildare football.

We’ve won just 2 underage All-Ireland’s.

The standard of our clubs are a farce. All 3 of them were beaten in the first round of Leinster. Kildare clubs have only won 3 Leinsters in 50 years.

Naas one of the largest towns in Ireland won 1 county title in 80 years before 2021, Celbridge the 3rd largest town in the county have won one county title in over 100 years. Leixlip the 4th largest have won nothing, Maynooth the 5th largest shag all.

The management will be gone at the end of the season but the next person in won’t do any better. The problem is far deeper than the management unfortunately.

As you said we've only won 2 All Irelands at underage so why in name of god would you not give the man that broke the mould a go to replicate that success at senior level for the county.

I agree that Davy should have got it but if you think he’d have us challenging to win anything you’re dreaming. The reality is that Kildare are just miles off the it, a mid table division 2 team is about our standard. Besides a few good years in the late 90s/early 2000s we’ve never done anything to suggest otherwise

I've seen calls for the head of the past seven Kildare managers on this forum over the years - and even Micko was run out of the county in 1994.

No one seems to notice that most or all of them do well elsewhere; it doesn't stand to reason that they were all terrible managers.

If Burke was installed tomorrow there'd be a nasty thread like this for him by the end of 2024.

Anyway, best of luck to Glenn Ryan for the rest of the season. He is a Kildare hero, an absolute gentleman, and he deserves loyalty and respect.

Worst defeat in conleths since 1974, a team who have massively regressed and a management ticket who wont even release a team sheet before matches. Glenn & co arent doing a whole lot to give the supporters respect so not sure why we should be loyal. Best of luck to next years management in division 3

Ah yes. That old snobbery. We're the GAA.
We're better than other sports. That mentality has us in the state we're in really.

The circumstances of which we got rid of McGeeney will forever define Kildare GAA. Complete and utter self serving morons.

Thuggish soccer and the toffee nosed rugby crowd.

We're Amatuers on and off the field. So Amatuer in fact that we're playing in a run down shack that is referred to as a stadium.

So amatuer that our new football jersey which should have been launched pre Christmas still isn't available to buy. (They won't be shifting many after Sunday's shambles).

So amatuer that we overlooked Davy Burke and Kevin McStay for the managers job. Both currently managing unbeaten teams in Div.1. The irony.

And I also see the usual fuckwits that think all is well in Kidlare GAA liking your post. The same fuckwits that said the Louth game a few weeks ago was an over reaction.
