Anyone hazard an esrly prediction for the 3 championships?
Senior - impossible to see past Naas here, Clane now a weaker outfit this year after losing Mcloughlin cant see them challenging. Perhaps sarsfields? I thought they were comfortably the second best team in the senior last year. Moorefield seem to be in a transition. Celbridge the only other possible contender, now with senior players more present they can build on that throughout league into championship. Ballyteague or Confey to go down.
Intermediate - is an absolute maze to figure out. 8 or 9 teams genuinely have a chance. Im going to stick the neck out and say Sallins or Caragh. Really strong underage group has come through in both setups and the only worry for Caragh is they were out battled by ballyteague last year. Leixlip dont have the bottle for it on previous capitulations.Castledermot another obvious one think they lack the forwards to win it personally. Ellistown will struggle to stay up.
Junior - I see Milltown a shade cosily the best team in it. Grange the upcoming team id fancy ahead of Kill, who had their chance last year and many Junior sides underperform the following year after a final. Rathcoffey and Robertstown seem to have fallen away and both lost key players.

Senior - Hard to look past Naas doing 3 in a row. Cant see who stops them, seem to be out on their own at the moment. Relegation could be any of the multiple teams between Cloghs, Kilcock, Ballyteague, Confey, Laurences Eadestown and maybe Maynooth each could beat each other on their day. Really does depends on the draws that are made.
Intermediate - Id say Castledermot, depending how Leixlip do in div 1, could knock the stuffing out of them or they could pick and build confidence to take into championship. Too early to call.

I see many of the county players lined out for their clubs yesterday. Paddy McDermott scored 1-03 for Naas and Alex Beirne scored 0-05.

If you played a full game or most of the game against Meath you weren't allowed play yesterday for your club or if you are coming back from injury or carrying a knock.

Ok, that's the instruction our player got anyway. Alex only played half the match v meath. Not sure whats the story was with Masterson. Jimmy is only coming back from injury. Is Jack Robinson injured maybe.

I think Glenn is just making up as he goes along. Seemly Jimmy wasn't fit to play v Meath & Glenn put him on anyways against Physio advice and now Jimmy is out for 2/3months with bad hamstring tear.

Stupid stuff from the county management. If players were fit they should have played for their clubs. It's that simple.

Senior - Naas. Celbrigde impressive managerial appointment will help, Raheens should keep getting stronger with nass cbs effect, Sash, Athy the trailing pack for me.
Intermediate - wide open again. Castledermot term in div 1 might get them over the line this time. Sallins, Caragh some good young players. Leixlip won d2 trophy last year should compete. Plenty others like Towers / M'Evan could come good.
Junior - Grange! Early days...

Thanks bite the pillow, I've recovered from the 7 goals we shipped against against Kerry back then and I'm ready to hurt again

Just told that to facilitate 12 teams in Div. 1,2 and 3 next year and an 8 team Div. 4 they are doing the following for 2023:
Div. 1: Bottom 2 relegated Div. 2: Top two promoted and bottom team relegated. Div. 3: Top three promoted and no relegation Div. 4: Top 4 promoted.
How will this work now that there are only 11 teams in Div 4

I would imagine they are hoping for an 8 team division 4 with the hope that Kildangan come back into the mix.

Larries selector was the cause of it, ran onto pitch & attacked the Eadestown player. Not his 1st time either... I was there, Eadestown should be awarded the game
