Kelf, they were also in div 3 for the League, and didnt qualify for the semis.
Probably not strong enough for the A championship IMO.
Looking at the Minor A Semi (Celbridge V Naas) Tuesday, and the B Match las night, the gulf in standard was vast.

Where were they in 2010 U 16 & 2008 U 14 ? Now if there were B or C & did not win grand with them B now.

larries beat rathangan in div 4 final at under 14s , fenner scored 4 goals from full forward .Great performance again the other night . The previous year towers beat rathangan in the final , how times have changed

monasterevin v larrys in the minor is hard 2 call. larrys won in the league by 4 / 5. they might just shade it again

Bad start to the day for monastrevin , final score Larrys 3- 10 Monastrevin 0-13. They' l also be hoping from more from the ref in the intermediate final

I was at the games on Saturday 2 minor games and the intermediate final.
Carbury v Rathangan was the best game all round with a great finish 3 goals in the last couple of minutes and the last goal for Carbury probably one of the best goals I've seen in Newbridge in a long time.
Larries v Monasterevin the Larries were the better team all the way through the two goals in the first half kinda killed the game.

Just a little note and no disrespect to the teams on the two games I don't know what way these teams are being trained but some of the basics like kicking hand passing catching etc was very very poor it looked awkward for some of the lads trying to kick & catch the ball.

Rathangan Minors lose another one, must be a reall tough one to take at this stage, and I feel for thoses young Lads. I agree that St Laurences were the better Team overall, and in young Fenner they have a gem ( how was he missed by the County Minor Selectors ?), but I also agree with lillyboy that the Ref was poor / hard enough on Monasterevin. Larries in fairness were clever and did keep Fitzpatrick quiet on the Day also.

Was asking some Larries supporters the same thing but they said that he doesn't even play for them that much. Soccer is his first game apparently.

Yeah heard that also FEAR, Most young lads that are talented GAA Players, are usually not too bad at the Soccer either.
