I expect Kildare to win by 7 points, Kildare 1-14 Derry 0-10,
Who can come up with the tidle of the best prediction, could be the start of a new championship.

I think it will be a tough contest. It will be hard for us to travel up north and win there.
However if bradley is still missing, it will be a huge loss for tem and we could win.

Derry 1-8 KIldare 1-10

I think this will be one ugly encounter, I hope to God we have our shooting boots on. if we do I think it will be something like Derry 1-15 - Kildare 1-13.

Hope I'm wrong just can't see us getting anything from up there. Maybe it's the memories of the last couple of visits that are still strong.

I think this is going to be tough. Derry are no way as good as they were JME and I think your still hurting from the bad encounters up there. We've improved and Derry have gone downhill. I think if Mcgeeney gets his tactics right we will win but it will be tight.

5 survivors from the qualifier in Derry in 2006. Completely different team now with a completely different mindset.
It will be hard, no doubt about it. It's a very hard place to go and win, that's why Derry have survived so long in division 1.

The key for me is the midfield battle if we can win this or even break even we can win without doubt.

I don't think Newbridge suites or style of play. Its too narrow. The teams conditioned for the likes of croke pk where you have more space to run into... I think Belfast provided that opportunity as well!

Very first thing I noticed Flourman. In fairness having him playing for us even once was shameful in the extreme. I was actually in Derry twice under Crofton possibly both the same year. Watching him play for us was almost as despressing as the football, even though I think we drew the league match, if memory serves.

Not as much of a quiver as i got when i was walking into the ground and heard who was the an other in midfield.Nearly got sick.Think we win by 2 or 3 pts.
That day England played Portugal in world cup.Had to listen to it on some portugees radio station as it was the only one we could pick upon the way home .Some laugh during the peno shootout.Goaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal when portugal scored .Goal when england scored

Nearly sure we lost that league game Ohtoohtobe by a point or two. Did Divilly play center forward that game and get sent off?

Jaysus I'd have to look it up you might be right though was either 8-8, 9-8 or 10-8, something like that, can't remember to be honest

I think we got a hammering in both games that years lads....could be wrong though

Only 5 of the that team made the team against Leitrim with EamonnO'Callaghan coming on that day. Tomas Connor played in 2006.

As Derry have conceded at least one goal in each of their games so far in the Championship I would be hopeful that this trend will continue on Saturday. However they have also scored a goal in two of their three matches, so I will go for the following scores -

Kildare 2 - 10
Derry 1 - 11

Wouldn't ever slate Diviliiy for pledging his alliegences to the white cause. He was willing to train and play for this county, more than some who have been born in this county are willing to do!
Ok he was a long long way past his best when he did play,. There are some players in this county who are born and bred Kildare men but will not commit to the cause.
Now thats more shameful in my eyes
