| Tough draw. Never easy to come away from there with a result. Hopefully Bradley and Doherty are still missing. | |

| Draw from hell, only Cork away was harder. Not to optimistic about this one and I'm afraid to say it will probably end up the same as 2006 although by not as much.
I hope I'm wrong but that draw is nasty.
Geezer will be familiar with Celtic Park but a lot of our lads have very bad memories of that place.
Derry are not the force they were and if P. Bradley stays away then they are slightly blunted.
We won't be favorites going into it not even near it but if they do win and it is a big if they should fear no one anymore.
to be honest we have been very lucky in the Draws for the last year or there abouts so I suppose one was going to go wrong.
C'mon lads prove me wrong.

| It's winnable but it'll be very tough. Kildare will have to play like they did in the second half up in Belfast to stand a chance.
They gave us a bit of a trimming in the league up there two years ago and beat us well in the qualifiers in 2006 I think. I don't think they're going that well at the moment though - Paddy Bradley walking off the panel doesn't send out great signals.

| Good draw.A winable game. This is not the same Derry team of the last few years. We have had enough soft draws so lets see what we are like playing a half decent team. The soft draws we have got are only covering up our weakness.I hate celtic park and have no happy memories from there but still think we will win by 3 or 4 pts.Pity we didnt get the dubs in newbridge but the gaa were never going to let Dublin be drawn away from home so i suppose thats them playing in parnell park next week | |

| Tough draw but its the one game which will really tell us what this teams really all about. Think if we go up there with a genuine attiitude and belief to give it everything we wont be a million miles away. | |

| I expect Kildare to win by 7, its a tough away draw but the better northern side to get, given that derry struggled to beat carlow and westmeath. Paddy Bradley is missing so its one less quality forward to worry about, Be positive the lillies are on the march, not the 12th but the real one. | |

| This will be a dog fight, Derry will fancy themselves at home but with no Bradley I think Kildare will shade it, would be more confident if Smith was available to play some part. | |

| The last time we were in Derry for a qualifier we had our arses handed to us. That was during the Crofton era when things were going very very badly. We just knew going up that day it was gonna get ugly. Kildare are a much better outfit this time around and Derry are not as strong. If it was Kildare of 2009 consistency playing, I'd be confident. It's gonna be really tight but we are good enough to win. | |

| For anyone who can't travel next week I think the match will be on the telly. RTE are showing 2 games and TV3 are showing one next Saturday. TV3 will almost certainly show the Dublin match and I'd say RTE will show us and the Cork/Wexford game, can't see them choosing the Down/Offaly game over ours... | |

| Hurling replay will be shown, there is no way there are going to send cameras up there.
KFM is the spot. | |

| Just on a side note is there anything worse than listening to a match on the radio. I get more nervous when on the odd occasion I can't make the match than when I'm at a game.
Not looking forward to Saturday already as I can't make it this weekend so I was looking for a home draw.

| If anyone is thinking of going up to stay I'd recommend staying in Ballybofey. Regular visitor to the town and its a good spot. Nice b & b called Dergfield House run by a Kildareman in the town who will look after you nicely. Tis only bout 35/40 mins from Derry. | |

Great weekend away if nothin else, get up there and support the lads.Bring the other half away or have a lads weekend.Derrys a great city!!!

| No point in going now, O'Rourke has tipped us to win on the Sunday Game, Kiss of Death.
I wonder if Paul the octopus could spare us his view.

| Just as Des Cahill said could be the kiss of death but I have confidence going up to Derry. As Mcgeeney said if we have any aspirations to go places we need to improve. I heard Mcgeeney gave them a earfull on the pitch after the match last night
I think this one will be tight. We do have the talent to beat Derry and if we play to our potential we can beat these. We need to play like we did in Casement park in the second half. Mcgeeney will know the northern teams well and their systems and thats only a positive. Not keeping my hopes up but I am quietly confident.

| If we beat Derry then it will be the first time we've beaten a 'big team' in the championship, and i think its about time we did.If we want to make an AI Semi then we have to beat some big teams along the way. Whatever happens the rest of the year if we beat Derry in celtic park then it'll be a major achievement and would be significant progress IMO. I think it may just be a step too far yet however...but i really hope i'm wrong. | |
