| I thought that the losers from the winners group ( Sarsfields, St. Laurences, Clane and Celbridge ) were put in one bowl and drawn against the winners of the losers group ( Monastervin, Naas, Leixlip and Allenwood) however it appears the have been an open draw. does this mean for the Q/Finals that Athy could play Moorefield and Maynooth could play Confey ?????? | |

I thought the same as you Gaa1928. I was of the opinion that the open draw only applied once we reached the semi-finals of the Championship.

Would be disrespectful to name any club but would be confident of beating any of them tbh. Considering they were missing 5 starters the last day and still won at their ease it shows the talent in the squad. Certainly are a lovely side to watch when in full flow. Terrible pity the Feely is no longer with them as he was an incredible talent. Any news on how he is getting on over in England?

| You are correct kevin is on loan with carlisle, he made the bench for charlton senior team for the last 3 games of the season, they have just bought another player who plays in kevins position, it is good he is going out on loan to get experience and game time i have no doubt he will make the charlton senior team in the next year or so . Moorefield very strong this year beleive it or not i beleive the 3 strongest team this year are moores, athy, confey. | |

| I hear no games are being played this weekend. Ideal for players who may actually have a life outside of football! | |

| Have they given the dates and venues for the round 3 games or just that there is nothing on this weekend? | |

| Surely most of the teams involved in the 3rd round of the senior football championship would not have any players on the junior panel. | |

| It's a good thing the Kildare over 40s tiddlywinks team didn't have a good year or we'd be still playing club championship next January.
In all honesty, holding up the club championships for the juniors is pathetic.

| Overreaction by a few lads here. It was announced at the Co. Board meeting a couple of weeks ago that Round 3 would be the weekend of 31st Aug / 1st Sept. It was only on the night that the draw was made that the possibility of playing some games on weekend of 24th / 25th Aug was mentioned.
There are only a limited number of games that could have been played this weekend due to the Kildare Juniors playing on Saturday. In addition it's quite possible that some club players would have made plans for this weekend based on the original announcement at the Co. Board meeting meaning that their clubs would be unwilling to play this weekend.
So all games will go ahead on the weekend originally announced. What's the problem ?

| Whats the problem, we play round 1 in May then wait 91 days to play round 2 now we have to wait 21 days the play round 3 but will be expected to play the next round, if we win, in 6 or 7 days time. There is no information coming from the County Board as my club were certainly expecting to be playing this weekend. | |
