| Take our entitlement to play at home, take our tickets, take our terrace. FFS... talk about giving us motivation.
Gonna be some craic on the hill. If the CB were clever they would section it off for home support only otherwise I can see some argy bargy happening and I am sure the powers that be would love that.

| Looks like I'm not gonna make this one. I implore every Kildare supporter man, woman and child to represent those of us who can't be there. Shout the team to another level, stand tall and do everything you can to give the team that extra they need. Make 10 seem like 100.
Up the lilies. | |

| Can't make tomorrow either but in solidarity with fellow Kildare fans and particularly those on this forum I am in Tullamore now getting ready to cheer us on to another Leinster final. Let's hope it's the start of a great weekend. Junior, minor and U20 and S8. Time the sleeping giant that is Kildare has woke up. | |

| Seems there are a decent amount of tickets being sold by Mayo supporters around Newbridge. If you want to go it might be worthwhile getting over and asking around. | |

| The biggest joke of the week - the capacity of St. Conleth's.
The Kilcullen end only 1/4 full and even in the stand, plenty of space for more fans - 2k people could have been accommodated with no issue of HEALTH & SAFETY

The County Board according to Ewan McKenna had a Health & Safety Audit carried out by an independent company and they said a 11,000 capacity was safe

| If health and safety was such a big deal why was the other 3 sides allowed to overfill ? You'd imagine if that was really the case then stewards would be directing numbers away from each side when it reached its set capacity. Such bullsh1t spin from Croke Park. Could easily have taken another 2000 fans yesterday | |

| Just curious, but wondered if the turnstiles at Conleths record the number of people passing through or is there a limit on the number of tickets sold in the office outside the grounds on days when it's not all ticket game? In other words how do they know when 9000 people have entered the grounds? Reducing the capacity to 8200 for an all ticket game makes absolutely no sense. Surprised the GAS would so easily give up the extra revenue

| They have a fair idea based on early ticket sales how many are likely to attend and if it's likely to be close to capacity then they will make it all-ticket.
Reducing capacity by 10% for all-ticket games is a joke(they don't do that for Croke Park games) and they could have fitted an extra couple of thousand there yesterday no problem.

| Interesting JC, watching Munster hurling final today and there seemed to be plenty of space on the terrace the majority of Clare fans were on, that 10% reasoning would explain that. | |

The County Board according to Ewan McKenna had a Health & Safety Audit carried out by an independent company and they said a 11,000 capacity was safe In excess of 11,000 - and they made that point at the meeting with Tom Ryan, Michael Reynolds and Feargal McGill. But they knew if they'd ever pushed for that initially, they'd be going against Croke Park in a bigger way, and every step they took was by the book - brilliantly so. Interestingly, from what I hear, Ryan was a key individual in getting this sorted. Pragmatic was the word I heard - he wasn't interested in bluster, he wanted to find a solution. Hopefully, if that's the case, he will have a major influence down the line. As the former finance man, I was worried he'd be a bottom line man. Might still be but I know Kildare were impressed.

| Have met Tom Ryan on a few occasions overall good guy obviously with a job to do and the GAA is probably more political than the Dail on some occasions!!! For sure 10,000 would of been comfortable and open the Kilcullen end gate and fence off for the people in there would of been a safety solution.... Looks like the GAA have another fixture headache this weekend... will be interesting to see where they put some of the games on........... | |

Cian’s acknowledgement of Tom Ryan’s part in sorting out the standoff would suggest at least one person in Stroke Park used common sense

| Very disappointed to see touts on the streets of Newbridge selling off tickets. Also sad to see the huge amount of space on both goal terraces knowing so many of us missed out on tickets.
Having said that I thought Kildare fans were superb and more than matched the Mayo crowd even though we were outnumbered greatly.
I heard a different take on that 11k capacity thing and from what I was told we had dropped the ball administratively on that a number of years back.

| The stuff in the Irish Times & the Indo during the week hyping up Mayo's crowd advantage – trying to get us to regret it – was a disgrace. Martin Breheny's column in particular was pathetic – not that I'd expect any better from him. He is truly dreadful. | |
