| Hearing the Kildare under 15s lads are back in action on Friday night V Monaghan ,its on in JohnstownBridge for anyone in the area who wants to go and support the team. Not sure exact starting time but the lads have to be there for 4:30 so prob be 30 ,40 mins later i assume(anyone know).Itll be good to see them against a team from outside Leinster and if the performances from Monday is anything to go by it should be a cracking game. | |

| The u15s put in another huge performance again tonight over in Johnstown bridge where they defeated Monaghan in both games by 3-28 to 1-05 and in the other game by 7-25 to 1-6.Both scorelines clearly show the huge strength that is in this squad that even when split in two it still produces the goods.I was talking to one of the lads who told me Monaghan had recently defeated Tyrone by 3 pts and several Monaghan lads were mighty impressed with Kildare and as in the Leinster Blitz our lads seemed to dominate in all areas. So well done lads fantastic stuff and once again great work and encouragement from the management team on the sidline. | |

| UNDER 15s
Kildare 0-13 , Cork 1-06
Kildare 1-13 , Cork 1-12
Well done to Kildares u15s who defeated Cork in both games today in Ballykelly, the game played in the top field saw Kildare win by 0-13 to 1-6 while the other game saw the lads win out by 1-13 to 1-12.The game i saw Kildare started well converting 4 points in 7minutes ,and with brilliant Kildare defending cork did not score till the 16 th minute.2 points from Cork saw Kildare kick 4 more on the trot and Cork seemed a bit rattled ,as the damage could have been worse as Kildare kicked several wides as the strong breeze affected the shooting at times.A fortunate Cork goal and 2 more points however helped settle them and a final Kildare point of the half saw it Kildare 0-9 Cork 1-04 and Cork now had the strong breeze.
The throw in saw Cork kick a point almost immediatly but Kildare fired one back straight away ,but showing there quality Cork kicked two more to level up the game with 10 minutes of the half gone. This Kildare team however has quality too and 2 great points saw the lads back in front of this entertaining game.Cork came back again however and drew the match up for the second time with 2 more points only for Kildare to go back in front by 1 almost immediatly with a converted free.
Cork began to put huge pressure on the Kildare defence and the pressure paid off as they kicked 2 fine scores to go ahead for the first time in the game, and like Kildare in the first half kicked several wides in a row.Kildare battled hard however and fought for everything and with 5 minutes left on the clock a brilliant Kildare attack saw the kildare forward through on goal and his brilliant low strike into the corner left the keeper with no chance and the lillies were ahead by 2.One final Cork attack saw another point but time was up and Kildare had won it by the narrowest of margins final score 1-13 to 1-12.Be it true or not i was told that Cork were unbeaten up till today which really brings home how much talent is in this Kildare squad as this was a huge test for them ,well done to all the lads and indeed the fantastic work being done at developement level by the mentors | |
