There is no denying there is a problem with club/inter county fixtures at this level, its been like that for years, this might focus the minds a little but I doubt it. As for the clubs concerned. imo they wouldn't be overly supportive of anything that would interfere with their interests, I've noticed there is not to many players from these clubs getting picked on county teams at the moment, could this be the reason ??

the u/15's are playing in the Leinster blitz tonight in Rathcoffey, 1st game v wexford @7. meath and longford play in the other semi. the u/16'play offaly in hawkfield in the father manning cup, good luck to all

The u/ 16's went down by a goal to Offaly last night and the u/15's defeated Wexford and Meath to win the Leinster title

The u16s won against Offaly in Ferbane on Wednesday night by 1-12 to 1-10.

They play Leitrim in Carrick on Shannon this Wednesday and Roscommon in Hawkfield the following week.

Some recent U15 results

Mayo 1-8 Kildare 2-12

Kildare 2-16 Wexford 0-5 ( I am guessing this a bit but it was a hammering )

They also steamrollered Westmeath.

Can I also say the pitches out in the Connaught centre of excellence are the best I have seen. A fantastic facility.

Really hope these young lads are harnessed in the right way . For first time in a long time we are actually winning things regularyl at minor and U-21's , and further down too I'm sure, and it would be criminal of us not too get the best out of them for the seniors in the years ahead

It was tonight in Longford. It was Westmeath 1-05 Kildare 0-00 at half time. Full time Westmeath 2-09 Kildare 1-02
