the draw for round 1 of senior, intermediate and junior chaionpionship will take place 4.30pm sunday in st conleths park newbridge after kildare v westmeath game

first two draws are so important, at least the quarters guaranteed if you get a decent draw, could turn out with one or two BIG teams missing out especially in senior championship.

prob may bank holiday weekend depending on kildares fixtures,was may last year anyway!!

heard may 20th, is that the bank hol? any idea if there is going to be 2 rounds played before Kildare are out?

I say it will go ahead either the 19/20 May or the 26/27 May Kildare are not out until the 16 of June i think and I heard that there will be only one round played before Kildare play.

Some interesting draws today. Looking forward to the club championship starting again. Thought it seemed strange that any replays will be played so soon after the original matches.

No I don't think so..i believe there may be a few of their players heading to america for the summer but like last year will probably not miss any championship matches..well thats providing kildare have a long summer

Heard athy have a good few of the younger lads hitting america this summer. Going over playing ball in boston and new york. players that are going include J.kinahan, B. Kinahan. D. Mulhall. T.Gibbons and also some squad players like N. kelly and S. o'brein

butterfingers grange rheban will be competitive being a local derby and not much seperating the sides in recent years,
with the new format for championship athy wont be able to afford to be missing players for the early rounds esp with them drawing moorefield to start lose that game and your fighting for survival in the next game

I think that Celbridge will take a lot of beating in the senior championship this year with Clane as dark horses. I am going to have a good punt on Celbridge.

The intermediate should be between JTB and Kilcock with Castledermot as the dark horses.

TMH should win the junior.

Sarsfields are absolutely flying it at the moment. They will go very close this year.

Fresh mixer you are correct we could be without 6 of our first team 4 forwards and 2 backs if this happens we will be seriously short this year and I do not think we will figure in the champship this year
