Yeah I agree Kildare will make the Leinster final, I don't know if Dublin will. Shocked

They will struggle to make the Leinster Hurling Final on today's evidence but their footballers are a nailed on certainty to reach the provincial final.

If it's Kildare in opposition we'll have to get the team selection and tactics right (we failed to do this against them last year) and hopefully we'll get a bit of luck.

I remember not so long ago thinking of leinster finals and then we met louth.this year I will be concentrating on the Offaly game first and see what happens.

If we fail to make the leinster final this year..we dont deserve anything. This is a massive massive year and a defining one of Geezers tenure i think... we need to kick on this year or we will always be known as the nearly team.

Louth to scrape past Westmeath
Longford to scrape past Laois
Meath to win more comfortably than people think against Wicklow

QUARTER-FINALS
Dublin to beat Louth well
Wexford to pip Longford
Meath to thump Carlow
Kildare to thump Offaly

SEMI-FINALS
Dublin to beat Wexford
Kildare to beat Meath, just. I'm not as optimistic as some on here.

FINAL
We'll get to that down the line, depends on how Brogans settle back in and the Dublin hunger and midfield. Plus our own form...

Don't agre that it 's as black and white as that. There are different ways to win an All Ireland - just look at 2010. In some ways we'd be better losing a Leinster semi than a Leinster Final as the losing finalists have to play 6 das later against a team on a roll. Not that we'll lose the final of course but you'll see my point. Hopefully we will win Leinster and drive on from there but there is a qualifier route if we need it. Hasn't exactly done us harm in recent years.

It did us plenty of harm last year. The team were knackered in the second half of extra time against Donegal having their fourth match in as many weeks. Had Donegal met a fresh Kildare team I have no doubt that we would have dealt with them comfortably. The confidence gained by beating Dublin would also have been invaluable in terms of kicking on come August.

With Paddy Power we're 9/4 to win Leinster and 8/1 for Sam.

Im gonna call it a little different, Kildare to beat Wexford in Leinster final. Dont forget the dubs needed a moxy goal to pip them last year. The dubs got every decision and break last year, cant happen every time.

Dublin won't have any trouble on their side of the draw. Wexford have a fine set of forwards but their backs and midfield are poor enough. That's been their undoing against Dublin the last two years.

i'd have to agree with freshmixer wexford and laois aren't up to much,dublin and kildare look like the two big teams.
hopefully kildare can do it this year with the likes of conway and kelly back along with the league form.

I understand we cant control what the press write or report but Im worried all this talk about us this year will get to the lads' heads.. Now I know Geezer will keep them grounded but it happened to the Dubs for years where the media built them up..We got to just beat Offaly first and take it game by game.

MD think we have learned our lesson from exiting early at the hands of Louth and Wicklow.
As you said Geezer will keep them grounded but they know themselves as we do as supporters thats its one game/hurdle at a time.
Great that its this time of the year again and I do wish kildare all the best in their campaign for this years championship. cheers
