Would have to agree with Emo being favourites for the competition with them being able to call on a number of Laois players. But we have competed against the best teams in Kildare during the league and preformed well and we came through what is probably the hardest intermediate championship in Leinster. With that being said we know that this competition is a step up but we feel we can go well. First up is the Fighting Cocks on Sunday so we ' ll take it one step at a time

Not sure to be honest but looking at the timing they'll be looking for two gates as one is 12-15pm and the other game at 2-30pm.... I suppose you'll be looking at €10 a game

Thanks wingback, the ambition is there to make progress in Leinster, it is going to be incredibly tough against a team that has already gone to Tullamore and beat Rhode.

See Clogherinkoe's game has now being switched to Clane for a 2-30pm throw in.

Heard the opposition wouldn't agree to the early time.

Hope the Clough's progress to the final now.....

Was reading the Indo today and note that ye have put in place a 15 year plan to win an AI club title. Is this for public consumption or who drafted same etc ? I find this interesting.

To be honest tomcruise, I am not overly familiar with the document and not sure if it is for public consumption, what I believe has been put in place is a proper structure for the way kids are coached and how their skill sets develop all the way from the academy up to u/16 - minor, I am not sure if it is any more earth shattering than that, obviously when setting out on any of these things goals have to be established and that is one of them. A lofty ambition but if you don't have it you most certainly will never get there.

Sarsfields 1-12 2-6 St.Pats (Louth)

Sarsfields now play Ballymun in the semi's in Newbridge on the 25th. Ballymun beat Mullingar Shamrocks 2-13 to 0-7.

Portlaoise and Killoe of Longford are in the other semi.

Clogherinkoe lost 3-7 to 1-10 to Fintan's.

Good win yesterday, pity to conceed the goal in injury time as it would have been nice to win more comfortably than 3 but it doesn't really matter in knockout football I suppose. An incredibly tough game to come against ballymun, I am open to correction on this but I don't believe a Kildare club has ever beaten a Dublin club in the Leinster championship. The game being in Newbridge should be a help. Great to still be in the competition!

The year Raheens won the Leinster they defeated St. Vincents, I think, in a replay.

Well done Sarsfields, nice to have a team to follow into the middle of November, would love to see them go onwards and upwards. You are right though, hugely tough game to come. Ballymun an interesting story to for anyone interested (http://www.irishexaminer.com/sport/gaa/spending-time-reaps-bigger-rewards-than-flashing-cash-213606.html). Did Sarsfields never get the better of Na Fianna one of those years they had a great battle? Maybe my memory going.
