Arguably our two best performers in the league (Mulhall and O'Grady) appear to be definitely out.

We should be able to cope against a Louth team relegated from D2 without winning a game and who struggled to overcome a shambles of a WestMeath team.

You'd like to think that alright flourman. Championship football is a different animal.

Sometimes teams are carrying a lot of knocks and write off the league completely and foucs soley on the championship. How good Louth or indeed Westmeath (Who were a cert for relegation from the outset) are remains to be seen. We'll know a little more come 4pm Sunday.

Fermanagh who finished 3rd in Div 3 lost to Antrim who only had Carlow and London below them in the league. Similar story with Limerick who were well below Tipp in the league standings.
Championship games are clearly a different animal. Mulhall will be a big loss as he looked so promising in the last few months. Louth always play well against us even when we beat them. Definitely a 50 50 game for me to call.

Anyone know what is Paul Cribbins injury, and how close are Eoin Doyle, Peter Kelly and Mick O'Grady to being match fit?

I'm led to believe that O'Grady is unlikely to be ready for Meath match. Not sure about others

Mick O'Grady played a full game for Celbridge last night in the Senior league. Apparently, he's not in consideration for a place for Sunday.

Probably because the starting full back line is already picked, I'm sure he'll be considered as a replacement in which case there is no harm in playing for his club get some game time.

Yeah like letting him and Cribbin get game time is no harm.

If only Peter Kelly was fit I would love to see a full back line of himself Lyons and McGrillen. Great to see McGrillen back in good form, he's been one of our most consistent players in recent years.

If Cribbin is fully fit I'd consider having him start ahead of the brother, well and all as Keith did the last day. Paul is a class act. Think he's better as a forward but hard to leave out any of the 6 forwards. I read that Mulhall had a full training session tonight. May be too soon for him to play Sunday though I'd imagine.

Quite a decent strength in depth about us this summer.

Best wishes to Brian Flanagan on his retirement. Sounds like he has been through the mill with regard to injuries

+1.

I know we complain and give out, but these lads give everything for us.
