| I only heard this evening of the match been rescheduled and the disgraceful amount of time it took for an ambulance to arrive for the young fella to get treatment. This is shocking folks regardless of whatever grade of football it is.. DISGRACEFUL. | |

| Think you're at the lap of the gods on waiting for an ambulance especially with the current mess in the HSE. What is inexcusable is that there apparently wasnt any first aid on site. There were first aid in Hawkfield all weekend I believe for the Seanie Barber finals so it's a very unfortunate oversight that at the very minimum the county board wouldn't make sure there's proper support in the event of an injury irrespective of grade of football. Hope he makes a speedy recovery | |

| Agree with fatherted .... the duration of the wait on an ambulance seems to be pot luck. The only thing the county board should have in place was first aid from order of Malta. | |

| The county board need to get out in front of this and explain the situation not ignore it. KFM still waiting for them to get back to them. Am I correct that ambulances at matches are from volunteers like order of malta? Perhaps they had committed to other events. The bigger issue is the waiting time for ambulances in general | |

| Anyone that causes serious injury to another player on the pitch should be hit with a lengthy ban. I am not talking months, should be years. If it happened on the street you would be locked up. Happening too often these days on the pitch | |

| I see the Laois SFC resumed tonight. Their county team lasted longer in the championship than our own yet here we are still waiting for dates and times for Kildare's. Seriously? What's the delay? Should've resumed two weeks after Kildare were knocked out, not five! | |

| In fairness you have to plan ahead with fixtures. So I don't think we can give them grief for that | |

They've had almost four weeks now to release venues, dates and times but as usual it's left until the last minute. Planning ahead to cover their own asses while club players lie idle for 3 weeks in the summer.

| I would think there should be a way of getting to Championship before now, however i think the agreement was with Co. board that the leagues would be played off a.s.a.p. as well which leaves no pointless league games in Oct/Nov which will happen in other counties like Laois this year..... | |

| To be fair, commencing the championship around August gives to winners in each grade a bit of momentum heading into the Leinster Club Championships in October.
That said it was too close last year with Moorefield playing the week after the county final, that won't happen this year as the Kildare Champions have in 'bye' in round 1.

| If the minors are successful this weekend, fingers crossed they will be, will that have a knock on effect on these fixtures as the minors would be in All Ireland semi final that weekend, either 4 on the Saturday or 1.30 on the Sunday. I can't imagine the county board fixing senior championship fixtures in direct competition with our own minor team playing in an All Ireland semi final. | |

Didn't stop them last year when they put an Important round of SFL Matches on at the same time as the AI U20 Semi final..
