In hindsight I'd suggest that the Carbury result confirmed all the rumours that were doing the rounds in the County in that Moorefield paid little head to the lockdown in terms of training.
Looks like 500 may be able to attend the games this weekend. If this is the case, I can’t see double headers being permitted so the times of the games may have to be moved?

There talking about 200 now, not sure if that includes the players etc.
But yeah they will have to space out the games either way which might be a problem in Hawkfield because they are so many games arranged, particularly for Saturday.
Hopefully the 200 is spectators. The term used has been spectators all along. Not sure if it was the Gaa that interpreted the 200 the first time around as the number being inclusive of the players which left only 110 spectators between 2 clubs. 500 obviously would have been much better.
It was a good idea and not just covid related. The game was a bit fiesty at times and tempers were raised on more than one occasion. I still can't understand the logic applied to bar spectators from games. There are many simple steps that could have been implemented instead. Face coverings, distancing, hand sanitation on entry and exit, travelling to and from games in family groups only. It was just to easy to stop people going to our games. Like most on here I missed two games so far but hope to be back at the weekend all going well.

200 spectators should be allowed at club grounds and 500 should be allowed at county grounds. If government implemented guidelines like wearing Face masks, social distancing and hand sanitizers for spectators going to games people would obey it. You are out in the open air which is the safest place to be.
[quote="topcat"]I hope govt give some clarity on that as to whether the players/management are included in that 200.[/quote) RTÉ are saying 200 supporters allowed in
200 spectators if the venue has a capacity of at least 5,000 ( St. Conleth's ) otherwise only 100 spectators at other venues, open to correction of course.
Taken directly from RTE.ie " Crowds of 200 people will be allowed attend sporting events where the capacity of a stadium is 5,000, it has been confirmed.
Venues that do not meet that criteria can host 100 spectators.
The 200 number will apply in 25 counties, but not Dublin, due to the high level of spread of the disease in the capital in recent weeks. " 100 everywhere except St Conleth's.
Slim to no chance of getting in so....opportunity for county board to sell county final tickets at €100 each

There will be a bit of work for the county board to do for Hawkfield on Saturday if spectators are allow to attend, matches on Pitch 1 scheduled for 12.00 p.m., 1.30 p.m., 3.00 p.m., 4.30 p.m. and 6.00 p.m.
It worked fairly well last weekend but properly a bit harder this weekend.
