Hopefully they plough on until then so, we could get 1/4 finals and relegation semi's played by then which would be good

Suppose at this stage all we are hearing is rumours, I have also heard the plan is to play straight through every weekend with the senior final being 4th October and presumably intermediate the day before.

Imagine being a Carbury player. Losing by 8 points midway through the second half but manage to claw it back and win it in injury only to come off the pitch to find out 1/14 shot Raheens have beaten Moorefield to knock your team out of the championship.

They looked like serious contenders Again. Kilcock for me, but wouldn't be surprised if the House come back up.. Agree, time to look at Senior B championship. Would 10 Senior, 10 Senior B and 10 Intermediate work ?.

Some result for Raheens. Great to see. Although I think Sarsfields will be a step too far for them in the quarters. I fancy Leixlip to win Intermediate. That loss to St.Kevins was a good wake up call for them. Kilcock won’t be far off the mark either. Good win for Athgarvan. A club on the up.

You’d have to wonder what kind of rehab the county lads are doing when they pick up an injury. Dan Flynn, Neil Flynn... They’ve hammers made of wet toilet paper. Who’s looking after these lads?

Because they don’t look after themselves properly.

Leixlip have no chance. No forwards. Could nt beat a very average monasterevin team last year.

Result of the day was Athgarvans win over Cappagh, first year up at the Junior A grade against one of the better teams in this championship. Great win

Bit harsh.. if Monasterevin were still Intermediate they'd be hard beat.

Naas gone again. 2 years in a row they fail to get out of an average group. To meet these boys socially , you would swear they are up there with corofin or crossmaglen. Serious dose of reality needed with this group.

Confey well beaten. I can’t see them staying up. If they do get relegated I don’t see them ever getting back up to senior again.

When would the junior champ be completed? Most teams still have two games left in group stages.

Business ed now and some good games next weekend. Would be great to see some really good competitive action
Sarsfields v Raheens - Sarsfields by about 8 but they won't have it all their own way. Moorefield v Johnstownbridge - Moorefield to bounce back strong with a 4 or 5 point win, JTB won't hande their aggression Athy v Round Towers - This will be an arm wrestle for sure but Athy to win by 3 Celbridge v Clane - Celbridge have gone backwards, Clane have greatly improved... Draw match with Celbridge to win in extra time
I'd say Confey and Monasterevin favorites to be relegated but Eadestown have shipped some heavy beatings (albeit against better sides) and their confidence must be very low. Maynooth should have enough to stay safe after some decent performances in the group stage.

Allenwood v Leixlip - Allenwood in a close game Clogherinkoe v Two Mile House - Tie of the round between two good teams, Cloghs to edge it but this is the toss of a coin for me Ballytegue v Ballymore Eustace - Ballyteague to win well, they can put up a big score on teams Kilcock v Suncroft - Kilcock to win but they haven't been tested yet so are still unknown.

How many times has that been said over the last 20 years? Moorefield have a lot in hand on the majority of clubs in Kildare and are probably the hardest team in the county to get over the line against.
I didn’t see the Athy game today but neither Sarsfields or Celbridge were particularly impressive over the weekend either. I wouldn’t be writing off Moorefield just yet and if Dan Flynn can’t play next week I would fully expect them to beat JTB.
Think Topcat you wouldbt in previous years have said "if Dan Flynn can't play next week I would fully expect them to beat JTB" That sentence alone, Moores 2 years ago would have zero doubt about beating JTB with Flynn. They are not the same

That is true and a very fair point to make Papabear, however I won't be writing their obituary just yet, still a lot of good players in that team and it might only take one good performance to turn it around for them. It is not that long ago they beat Carbury by 17 points, Carbury were a little unlucky to miss out having beaten Raheens last week.
