I would be surprised if Chalky could risk injury if he is only home on leave from U.N. duty but maybe he is finished his tour.

No, he is only home on a short break, he will be going back. Not sure how long he has left.

See that clueless idiotic Moorefield mob whinging about the SFC draw on twitter. The idiots obv don't realise their own club proposed that format at convention.

What are they afraid of?

I hope Maynooth or Naas win the championship i can't stand them Newbridge clubs and nobody likes Athy. Pity Clane didn't beat Moorefield that would have been fantastic.

Nobody likes Athy I do Smile and we play open football, some times you can't please green eyed monsters, small club limited resources mixing it with the elite what is not to admire Smile

Athy didn't play much open football the last day against Celbridge. They even had a sweeper.

Hardly a small club either Athyman. What's the population of Athy?

Seeing as Ellistown were in the semi-final draw they must have won this - think the Kildare GAA website has the final score wrong - presumably the other way round?

Ellistown won, was over at it. Shocker of a game. They're this years Monasterevin. 13 men behind the ball at all times.

What I meant about a smalll club is in comparison with the facilities that the bigger clubs have . Taibi who has the best footballing team in kildare at the moment ? I agree with you about the sweeper Tony Gibbons plays it very effectively. Moorefield were the team I wanted to avoid but so be it, if we jell on the day we will be ok if we play the same way we played against celbridge then we will be gone. The sash must be breathing a sigh of relief with that draw.

After the draw I am going to go for an all Newbridge final, two tough games for the two teams but I reckon both should have just about enough to get over the line.

You could be right topcat but south kildare is not finished yet, in fairness and with all respect to Naas I don't think the sash will be too disappointed in their draw, I know moores did not want to get Athy. As I said if we perform on the day then we will be ok Smile

don't agree with that all Taibi. Yes Ellistown dropped a sweeper back after they developed a lead with that strong wind in Newbridge yesterday but any team worth their salt would surely employ this method to wind the game given the conditions. There wa never an instance where 13 player were behind the ball. If anything Ellistown played better againast the wind in the second half.

Also I remember Monasterevin won a Leinster title last year, not too shaby in fairness.

I didn't see one occasion where Ellistown had 13 men behind the ball. They lead by 5 at HT facing a strong wind in the second half however they outscored Ballyteague in the second hal. not really a sign of a team with 13 men behind the ball.

Surely JTB won't mess it up this year?

TMH v Straffan would make an excellent junior final.
