Ellistown won, was over at it. Shocker of a game. They're this years Monasterevin. 13 men behind the ball at all times.
don't agree with that all Taibi. Yes Ellistown dropped a sweeper back after they developed a lead with that strong wind in Newbridge yesterday but any team worth their salt would surely employ this method to wind the game given the conditions. There wa never an instance where 13 player were behind the ball. If anything Ellistown played better againast the wind in the second half.
Also I remember Monasterevin won a Leinster title last year, not too shaby in fairness.
Maybe I was exaggerating a bit but they certainly didn't look to attack once they got a hold of Ballyteague, they could of easily won that game by a lot more. You're right the wind made it difficult. Fair play to them though, who cares how you win. It's not easy on the eye though.
Can't see them troubling JTB, they lack scoring forwards and Ken Donnelly is a huge loss to them.
