The lack of a good results system is the downfall of any good website ..... Why dont posters log the results... by the way The Larks sneaked a result tonight by a point......

Conditions were poor for the Kill and Straffan game, very heavy rain.

Rob Kelly and Austin Allen were the best players for Straffan while Max Bradley did well when me moved to the edge of the square for Kill

Ballyteague 1-10 Sallins 1-9.

Stephen Connolly with a well taken goal for the Larks. Jacko McCormack scored the Sallins goal from a penalty. Horrible night for football with driving rain throughout.

Kill 2-7 Straffan 0-9.

Max Bradley scored the two goals for Kill.

I think the weather may have played a significant part in these matches.
Hopefully the weekend isn't ruined by it too, looks to be a great weekend ahead football wise with supporters able to get to lots of different matches.
Go move by the county board in fairness....

Good work lads, maybe we can have a thread just for champ match reports only?

I thought the larks would win by more than that, sallins were awful last i saw them.

Didn't see that coming, although Straffan lost the Jack Higgins final rrecently too so they've obviously hit a dip in form.

Thought the Larks would have won by more alright, not the they'll be worried, being the first team through to the quarters with 6 points will have them happy enough.

SFC:

Celbridge v Moorefield
Tie of the round. Both sides will be hoping a win here will kick start their season. I've a sneaking feeling that Celbridge will come out on top by 2 or 3 points

Round Towers v Athy
Towers are a pale shadow of where they were during the late nineties. Athy on the other hand look like a team going places. Athy by 4.

Kilcock v Ellistown
Ellistown by 3.

Sarsfields v Clane
The Sash might struggle without Dermot but Clane have fallen back a bit after looking fairly promising early on. Sarsfields by 2.

St Laurences v Carbury
Another fascinating match. Larries will be very hard beaten this year but Carbury are a team on the up. I think this one could be a draw.

Allenwood v Naas
JD against Leper. Naas by 4.

Maynooth v Leixlip
There'll be skin and hair flying in this one. The formbook always goes out the window in these local derbies but I think Maynooth might shade it by a point.

St Kevins v Suncroft
Kevins have obviously had a very difficult week. They'll be well up for this one. Kevins by 3.

Celbridge v Moorefield
Glavin injured. Flynn Carrrying an injury. Celbridge by 3

Round Towers v Athy
Towers are not the force they were but they have experience, athy are young up and coming team.
Towers may bully them. Towers by 1

Kilcock v Ellistown
Donnelly and AndrewMac swings it Ellistowns way for me.

Sarsfields v Clane
Missing Dermot, but have big players around the middle to plug the gap
Smith back on form. Sash by 5.

St Laurences v Carbury
Larries are flying, and by all accounts want back to back titles.
Carbury going well also. Larries by 2

Allenwood v Naas
Sos will have Allenwood on their toes for this. JD wont let them lose. Allenwood by 3

Maynooth v Leixlip
Local Derby.these can go anyway. Maynooth are flying, maynooth by 5

St Kevins v Suncroft
Kevins missing couple of big players. Suncroft by 4

Some serious draws in the SFC to be fair. The top 4 teams from the league all drawn against each other and then two of the other perceived top teams in Kildare, towers v athy drawn together as well with both needing a win

SFC:

Celbridge v Moorefield
A loss here will put either side in serious danger of not making the quarters with the way the group is shaping up. I would want to avoid the loser of this game at all costs in the final round of fixtures, they will come out all guns blazing! Moorefield to shade it for me, don't think Celbridge are as good as two years ago, think they have had a stop start season with a lot of injuries etc.

Round Towers v Athy
Agree with KK, towers no where near as good as they used to be. However they have a great habit of dragging other teams down to their level. I'll take youth and a bit of class to come out on top though, Athy by 2.

Kilcock v Ellistown
Two poor teams imo, but a win puts both of them in with a chance of qualifying for QF's. Kilcock to edge it by 1 for me

Sarsfields v Clane
Sash to be first team in the quarters here. I don't rate them as highly as Moores/Larries but they should be too good for Clane. 5 points win

St Laurences v Carbury
Both will still be in a good position to qualify even with a loss. Carbury improved a lot this year but still think Larries have the better team. Larries by 2

Allenwood v Naas
Dangerous to rate Allenwood on league form as they are always missing Doyle in the leage. Naas haven't improved as much as I thought they would the last few years. Hacked up in division 2 last year but been mediocre this year. Allenwood by 2.

Maynooth v Leixlip
Leixlip............ I don't need to explain why

St Kevins v Suncroft
Would have gone for Kevins in this all day long but think centreback said they were missing Carew and Noone, two huge losses esp Carew. I'll go for a draw!

Raheens v Castledermot
Raheens seem to be strugglin lately. Castledermot aren't much better.
Poor game. castledermot by 2

Johnstownbridge v Nurney
Only one winner here. JTB by 7

Kilcullen v Milltown
Milltown missing key players to Australia.
Kilcullen by 6

Ballymore v Rathangan
Hard one to call. Ballymore are a championship team.
Rathangan fail to deliver every year. Ballymore by 3

Monasterevin v Eadestown
Monasterevin by 5 but wont have it all their own way.

Ballykelly v Confey
Confey will be on a high after reaching division 1. Confey by 4

Robertstown v Cappagh
Cappagh going well.Robertstown need a win.
Robertstown by 5

Rheban v Caragh
Could be a shock here, Rheban by 2 for me

Two Mile House v Rathcoffey
Only one winner, TMH need the win. TMH by 8

Clogherinkoe v Ardclough
Clogherinkoe are going well. Cloghs by 7

Grangenolvan v Castlemitchell
Hard one to call. Local Derby. Grange need win.
Grange by 2.

SFC:

Celbridge v Moorefield
Celbridge looked as if theyve gone back a mile against carbury, played moorefield recently and theyre flying. Moorefield by 3

Round Towers v Athy
Athy just have enough to beat towers. Athy by 2

Kilcock v Ellistown
Not much between the two sides. Ellistown by 1

Sarsfields v Clane
Clane struggling woth no points and sarsfields usually come good now. Sarsfields by 4

St Laurences v Carbury
Two teams who play a similiar kind of game and both are very strong with accurate forwards. Draw

Allenwood v Naas
Naas were missing a lot of players in the league game and won. Naas by 3

Maynooth v Leixlip
Maynooth are going very well considering they only came up and can see them with 6 out of 6. Maynooth by 1

St Kevins v Suncroft
St Kevins can overcome a very hard week with a hard fought win here. St Kevins by 1
