just hope its not the difference between the two teams on sat. The Leinster League is just glorified challenge games - second string teams and everythign being played - nobody's going out with the aim of winning a Leinster League and it certainly wouldn't be used by anyone to hail a brilliant season after losing in the first round of the championship.

| The first game in the championship is always the tricky one. Get over it and a team's confidence grows. Hopefully, our minors will prevail on Saturday. Best wishes for a victory over Longford. | |

| So a team and subs has been named, but it's nowhere to be seen on the website. Any of our inside men have it. Fone? Fear an Geata? anyone? Thank God for this forum, we'd know nothing without the co-operative effort here | |

| Looks like a talented forward line, I don't know as much about the backs. Is that brophy related to conor brophy? | |

| Thanks... Gibbons isn't a forward is he? Does he not play centre-back for school and club? Will he be coming deep to leave a bit of space for Kelly and King I presume? | |

| i heard a lot about kelly from athy and saw a few glimpses of him and to be fair he looks a real prospect. good spread of clubs there too. hopefully they can do it today and at least they don't have the weight of expectation like last year's crop. looking at the subs bench is encouraging too as a few of the scoil mhuire lads can't make the startin 15 despite contesting an all ireland final. as was pointed flynn is balyna at this level. bit of lad who has come under the radar, a big lad with great pace and seems to be in the mould of the running midfielder a la sean cavanagh. good luck to all involved

good spread of clubs 9 from celbridge? scoil mhuire made an all-ireland "B" final, since scoil mhuire have been "A" champ for the last few years that team must not be as good as previous years. kelly is one of the best players i have seen at minor club football in years! this being his first year as a proper minor aswell.

Conor brophy is a bit old for minor
Best of luck today hopefully not a repeat of last year

Niall Kelly still a minor again next year. I think fone meant Conor Brady who came on for the injured Tony Gibbons. Hopefully he hasn't broken his collar bone. Didn't look good though. Good performance. Midfield was very good, particularly Gavin Farrell who had a great game. Conway was very strong at centre forward too.

| Excellent performance. As Fear said Farrell was man of the match, he dominated midfield. A lot of good football played. 10 point win should have been a maybe 15 plus as they missed two great goal chances. Very encouraging. Well done to all. | |

ah in all fairness i was mostly talkin about the startin 15 with a good spread of clubs represented. as for scoil mhuire i take your point but they still had a good year and some of the lads on the bench at least show a bit of strenght in depth. think the christensen lad is young too. good win today and fair play to all involved. as i was sayin we talked up the team the last two years, and rightly so, but the current crop will hopefully do the business minus any pressure.
