I'm the boss. I'm the gaffer. At the end of the day what I say goes, the buck stops with me... You've a strange way of debating Gaffer. You boil it down as if I'm faced with a choice of either agreeing with you or stopping supporting Kildare. The fact is we've been wearing all white for more than 100 years, for all four of our AI wins, and by now green has as much to do with Kildare as red does with Ireland. Why change 108 years of history because some idiots think it makes the jersey more fashionable? I'm allowed to make that point and if it does change, believe it or not, I will be allowed to be disappointed and still support Kildare just like I did in the mid-90s when we had that brutal-looking black trim. You should be keeping your head down anyway, let's face it, that 5-2 loss in Cyprus was your fault.

| Guys you have not seen the jersey and your condeming it, seems a bit sad and negative to me. The point your are missing is, the jersey does not make the player. Designs change every now and again, thats the way comericalism works. As for your Cyprus comment, your rambling. You could take your holidays there to destress yourselfs. | |

- Fone who cares what colour kildare wear, its whats in the jersey that counts. Fone you must be fit the way you race out of CB meetings to let us lnow whats going on. For the record, Kildare originaly wore green, changed to white somewhere along the line, maybe a clane influence, who knows. Morrefield were indicisive and went green & white If the sponsor wants to change their logo, thats their business. We will support them no matter what they wear.
I'm the boss. I'm the gaffer. At the end of the day what I say goes, the buck stops with me... I was told a while ago by an old kildare supporter that the reason why kildare wear the white jesery was down to clane being the club champions the year kildare started playing as an inter county team, and it just carried on from there! Anyone know the truth in this?

| As mentioned earlier I was sort of hoping for the return of a proper collar too. Have to say I like an old style collar on jerseys like a polo shirt. Probably not practical when playing but looks better for supporters! | |

| Not too bad.. even if the sponsors logo is a bit gawdy looking. Glad that they've persisted without a collar too. Never been a fan of them. | |

| Kildare GAA will officially open their new store in the Whitewater Shopping Centre in Newbridge this Friday, November 18th at 6pm. Kildare will use the opening of the store to also launch their new jersey for the 2012 playing season. The new jersey coincides with a rebranding of the Tegral logo to Tegral Slates. This will be Tegral's 20th year sponsoring the Kildare Senior Footballers and sees them as one of the longest-serving sponsors of a county team in Ireland. 2011 marked the 75th anniversary of the founding of Tegral. Since 1936, from its base in Athy, Tegral has been supplying the Irish building industry with a wide range of quality roofing and cladding materials. Despite the downturn in the building trade, Tegral has remained a loyal sponsor to Kildare GAA. They will hope that 2012 will prove a good year for both their business and the Lilywhites. The new store in the busy Whitewater Shopping Centre will stock a large range of Kildare playing gear as well as leisurewear for adults and children alike. It is hoped that the store will attract a lot of business in the run-up to Christmas. The county has previously had a shop in St. Conleth's Park, but this is a somewhat new venture with the move to Whitewater and the increased range of Kildare-branded O'Neills leisurewear. With Kildare having reached three All Ireland quarter-finals and a semi-final over the past few years there is now a very large fan base and the new jersey should prove to be a very popular Christmas present for all ages. The store is stocking a large range of ladies leisurewear specially designed for Kildare supporters. The launch will be attended by manager Kieran McGeeney, captain John Doyle, Dermot Earley and several other members of the senior football panel, as well as County Board officials | |
