Yeah the pink ones were a once off but when it was seen in public, there's been plenty of interest in it. Evolved from Wex. Youths soccer jersey..... Mick Wallace is connected to Kildare now.....

no problem! It looks well, I like it.

Was over in the whitewater this evening with herself and thought I'd have a look at the ceremonials.
Great crowd from what I saw, there was a queue for a photo with the great J.D and the shop looked well stocked with loads of gear.
The jersey looks well and is as good as there has been over the last while. the only thing I'd be wary off is that the "SLATES" are quite low and and if you don't have an InterCounty physique it may look stretched if you know what I mean.

Well done to all, it looks like it will be a success as there where already people buying out of it.

god yes i was ragin we didin get a good day in the hill last year it only opens for the dubs!

Oh god I Know! I am convinced that the hill is good luck when theres a few kildare boys on it. I know that sounds ridiculas but genuinley I believe that. Look at the quarter final- the hill wasnt opened , we lost to donegal; 2010 the hill was opened we beat meath and monaghan, then against tyrone 2009 we lost it wasnt opened that day! And again take years ago when we beat dublin last I was aout 5 years old. I am almost certain there were a good few kildare lads on the hill that day in 2000 and we won- Even the drawn game there was lillies on the hill. Think of all the games in the 90's where the hill was full of kildare people! we won a lot of those games. Maybe Im cracked but thats what I believe.

Glad you think so Lilly but its not for me. Was on it for the final in 98 and then again against Offaly in 99. I for one am not going back.

Same for me, was there for the final in 98 and the leinster final in 03. Don't plan on going back!

That jersey is almost identical to last years. A couple of lines and "Slates" being the only difference. A cheap attempt to screw a few quid out of hard pressed individuals.

For F*ck CB if your going to change the jersey at least make some real tangible changes that really distinguish it from the previous jersey.

Kildare are all white, there isn't much tangible to do with the jersey. The county board are taking many steps in the right direction in opening the merchandise shop in Newbridge, bringing out new gear for the ladies and bringing out new merchandise also for lads.

The current jersey is out 3 years and I have absolutely no problems with them changing it. The Changes are subtle and freshen things up. If you don't want to buy it don't, but don't come on here and take a cheap shot at the county board for trying to generate some much needed revenue to plug some holes and fund bringing home some silverware.

What I would say to people is if your hard pressed keep your hands in your pockets or go out and buy the same red Man Utd or Liverpool jersey season on season.

I suppose lads! I definatley agree with that one- 03 leinster final. I was on the hill that day but I dont think I could endure all those laois cars beeping their way out of croker again. Jaysus the thoughts of it!!!

Can't do much with white Derfil, not sure how you want to change it but I doubt many would want less white. As Fionn said premiership teams change theirs once a year now and that's three jerseys. Yet people still buy them in their truck loads. Even the rugby teams change theirs regularly now.

The shop is a smart set up, how many people will be looking for a gift for Christmas and not knowing what to buy will spend €50 quid in there. It didn't take a brain surgeon to work out that an outlet for gear was needed. Now it's been done it looks like it will work out very well.

My only concern is how much they make out of the merchandise that is sold. I hope they are getting a good %.

Sorry but this is an open forum and I'm entitled to say what I want even though you may not agree. And by the way who made you the moderator/internet police?

It's not a cheap shot at the CB. It's my opinion that here's no discernible difference between the two jerseys and if there's not why bother bring out a new one almost identical to the one just gone. Not the greatest marketing ploy of all time. There's a ton of different stuff they could have done to make the jersey different to the last which would have sold more jerseys. I'm all for raising revenue for the county teams but I'm not spending money on this copy cat jersey. Thanks for the advise there fionn but it wasn't needed. I'm disappointed to say the least with it. I'll spend my money else where in the shop and at the races or concerts....

But best of luck with the new shop. It was badly needed. Some of the ladies stuff looked great and will sell well plus there's more male stuff to come in over the next while.
