If DCU cannot commit to the fixture for the final than should the Meath result not be over turned? Could be a chance to have a good look at them before the league and championship?
Was just going to post this. If DCU won't play then Meath should be put through to the final.

Well done on Kildare victory on Sunday , it was well deserved , they played the better football , impressive preformance all round, the only thing i will say is the referee was Articious for both sides , in the greatest respect , That the level you need to operate at every game in the league , assured promotion on this continued display , here is seeing kildare in Div 1 in 2013 , and joint favorites for leinster 2012
It shall be apity if the Final does not go ahead just to finish of the competition completely , as the presentation of the cup should be to the players and fans alike

Honestly I didnt see it , but something had to ignite the situation for it to end up they way it did with a mass handbag gathering , if what was describe was the case , i most certainly wouldnt condone it, and IF there is a case to be answered , I am sure the CCCC shall address it like they did in 2009 i think with the Dublin v Meath parnell O/B meeting , there was alot of unsavoury incidents by bot teams i would notagree with but , are we expecting the game to go soft or are we right to expect a bit of cut and trust and continue to have our game to be played more manfully , in saying that there is no room for cowardly off shots , in short both teams were no shrinking voilet Sunday its unusally for "samson" not mention it in his after match interview , there was alot of needles niggling between both team , i put that down to the occasion , this apparent psychological elimination barrier which was supposely banished , you would be deluded if this is the view , as both teams where not the teams we expect to see in the league or championship , i just hope you havent peeked to early for you as supporters are concerned. I intend to watch it via TG4 at some stage , so I shall get back to you after this if you prefer

In fairness had Kavanagh swung at all it would have been hard to miss a chin like this.

Getting back to the football. O' Connor wins a lot of ball and while most of the time he finds someone to lay it off to they aren't always in the best position to score. As for himself, he's more likely to score a goal than a point. Would love to see him fisting a few over the bar as I'd say he's well capable of it.

Agree with you peile about O'Connor. I think the problem is the other forwards are not talking up good positions quickly enough to feed of him. Watch the speed at which Cooper and the O'Sullivans are on Donaghy's shoulder to take the pass and the score. The quick lay off to an inrushing forward is a very difficut move to counteract. If I remember correctly we won a penalty against Laois with a move like that.

Murof you are correct o Connor has a great pair of hands and even if it is a 60/40 ball he will still get it, unfortunately our forwards are not making enough runs off of him, I would like to see him score more as he normally is only 10 metres from goal when he receives the ball , he should just turn around and kick it over the bar. I think he is brilliant player and highly effective no frills full forward

It's amazing this time last year nobody was talking about O' Connor now he's one of our most important players.

O connor was breaking into the senior set up while john crofton was there, if memory serves me wel. He was definatley on the panel in 2007 anyway. Brillant pair of spades he has!

I remember driving up to Celtic park in Derry for a qualifier a few years ago where he played under Crofton I think. Lets just say judging from that display I didn't predict he'd be one of our key players in a few years...
Fair play to the lad he's worked hard and is a tough customer to mark.

I remember driving home from Derry that day too and I thought a lot of those lads would never be good enough, such has been McGeeney's,Carew's, and other influence over last few years.
In all seriousness he is a very good footballer but who thought Mick Foley would win an All star 4/5 years ago.

It's funny like that.... I had similar thoughts about the likes of Kavanagh and Conway around 4 years ago.
I think there is still a lot of supporters who would reservations about O'Connor. I think he has the potential to be very effective but he still has a lot to prove imo. Really only performed well in 1, maybe 1 and a half games in the champ last year.
His catch last week for the penalty was unreal, if he can only kick a few f**kin points now, he'd be flying!
