| I believe a lot of talking around Athy on Monday about the appointment of the referee..... not happy....... | |

| Yeah well he was fairly muck, but Athy and all teams need to look at what they did to themselves before pointing fingers. Also Moorefield being labelled as cynical is doing them an injustice as they played much nicer football on the day. Some of their passing inside and man on the shoulder stuff was lovely to watch.

| The refereee may not have being perfect but to call Moorefield, who were the far better team on the day, cynical is absurd when you consider that Athy had a man sent off and 2 men black carded. Also Niall Kelly may have also been dismissed as young Seán Healy needed a jersey swap after only a few minutes and Niall ended up getting a yellow later in the game. However, the penalty decision in the opening minutes of the game would have changed things but looking back, the better team won and judging by the performance as a whole of both teams, 3 points flattered Athy to say the least. | |

| I don't think the Athy man was sent off for cyncial play to be fair. Call it many things, but it certainly didn't sound cynical. | |

| Yes I’d agree but I was using it more as an example that Athy cost themselves their chance instead of the referee costing them. | |

| Congrats to Moorefield, by far the better team, I didn't see anything particularly cynical about how they played, they are very strong all around and if anything are better than last year, Adam Tyrrell on that form and young Masterson would be big additions to kildare squad | |

| All Athy supporters I met after game agreed the better team won. Not sure a torn jersey is a good indicator of who started a row! Agreed that Moorefield played some really good football and are well ahead of every other team in Kildare in every facet of the game. We should be allowed question whether they play with a cynical edge without being accused of being a bad loser. O'Connor definitely should have been black carded for the incident with Hyland and the high tackle on Feely could have easily have been a red instead of yellow. Referee was ok overall I thought and didn't decide the result. Best of luck to Moorefield in Leinster, actually think they have a great chance of retaining their title.

| After the semifinals I thought Athy would have put up a better fight but basically they shite their pants.Hindsight is great but as a moors supporter I'm glad the opposition was Athy and not Celbridge | |

Mad, really? Surprised they are allowed to choose but don’t see why they wouldn’t play in hawkfield. Suits their style of play.

| Two Mile House claiming that Didier Cordonnier was shown a second yellow by the referee because he thought the goalkeeper was giving him a false name when he was showing him his first yellow card! | |

Sounded like Peter Kelly dragged them through that and with a sprained ankle.

| That is incredible. Anyway, two from two which is a fine start regardless of the who or how. Correct me if wrong but I believe on Sunday 11 November, Milltown host Naomh Eoin of Carlow who got a bye in the quarter-finals at junior. And in intermediate, on Saturday 10 November, in the last eight Two Mile House host Naomh Barrog who won the Dublin title today. A lot to be said for home advantage so fingers crossed. | |

Not naomh barrog, round towers of lusk won after ET. Almost got promoted to senior division 1 so should be strong. Game will be conleths. I think the didier story is growing legs a bit but how and ever.

| I thought Moorefield did exactly what they had to do yesterday. Won the game and managed to get A. Tyrell, NHL, Roli, A. Masterson and even J. Murray off the pitch early while giving valuable game time to others. | |

Disappointed with a 6 point win away from home in Leinster club a week after winning a county championship? Ah stop. 2-9 on the board end of October too. Moores were comfortable against a team with no interest in attacking for long periods. Dunno what more they can do. Portlaoise as usual won Laois comfortably but they are not a patch on the strong town sides of a few years ago. Ive seen them a lot this year. The Laois senior championship is really really poor. The current team are certainly no better than the Portlaoise side Moorefield beat in Portlaoise last year. Meanwhile Moorefield have an inform Adam Tyrell and a maturing Aaron Masterson on top of what they had last year. I have no doubt Portlaoise will put it up to them and there may only be a score in it but I would be hugely disappointed if we didn't beat them in two weeks time.

Couldn't agree more. Westmeath champions one of the best over past 10 years - likes of Lomans, Garrycastle and Tyrellspass who beat Moorefield last time. They got the job done early with the 2 goals and were never in doubt even after making a few changes. They'll be more than ready for Portlaoise in Newbridge on Sunday week.
