| Well done to the Juniors, great win and great display. Duffs point must be the best point ever scored in newbridge.... Top class... Whos the idiots slagging off players abour weight, didnt see any overweight players only very fit and stong guys.... bet you were not at game Admin; these idiots slagging off players about weight is over the top and these guys should be banned for this disgracefull behaviour or give them vouchers for spec-savers. | |

| Bit of an over-reaction there Gaffer. Making a comment that a lad struggles with his weight is far from 'slagging' him off and way off deserving a ban considering some of the shite talked on here. | |

| fair comments by Champ on the game wednesday night.
totally agree that the two corner backs are fine footballers but more suited to other positions. not sure if they have been approached but Kev Corrigan (Kill), Cian Gaynor (Straffan) and a lad called Christy from Ellistown would be huge additions to this panel. They are the best markers in the county at this level ive seen. Also an option of moving Dan Flynn to full back and Burke to corner. Although it must be pointed out that the Louth full forward line did win ball Fagan, Lambe and Burke were not turned at all and kept them outside.
Id expect Joe Keogh to start the next day, a class footballer and must of picked up 4/5 breaks in the short time he was on. Bolton won great ball but shot selection was very poor. hanifan was a bit in and out but a class footballer and show it at important times.
Good win, and a nice home draw to final makes this winnable.

| Was at the game weds night, thought at times we tried to do a little to much when on the ball and we lost it as a result of not doing the simple thing but was great to see lads trying to do the right thing......after all this is a completely new panel......referee seem to have it in for Dermot Early.....gave some unbelievable frees against him and was very over fussing and held the game up to much by blowing for every free......like the look of burke, flynn and o'shea in defence, worked very hard and used the ball well, Dermot just eased his way back in to midfield, passed some great ball into the forwards, got two lovely points and great to see him come through a full game. Hanafin worked hard and used the ball well also scored a lovely point on the run from a tight angle in the second half, good free taker too, Mc Nally and Bolton worked hard inside in full forward line, Boltons shoot selection at times was poor, but still got on the ball a lot, McNally was a threat throughout the game, good footballer. rest of the team worked hard and played there part and its always good for a team as a hole when there's room for improvement, probably wont be tested next day against Killkenny but can try another few lads and give them some game time. | |

| It would not be any harm bringing in players who are showing well. Championship games always bring out better displays from some players. From what I have heard alot of players on the senior and junior team were quiet enough at weekend. We went to watch Confey v Ballymore...great match but the two confey players on the junior team at moment were very poor imo. So bringing in players on form to the junior team makes alot of sense. | |

| what about all the lads who have committed so much of their time from early january to the juniors. the lads who travelled up and down the country to challenge games on cold nights and maybe not getting game time in these games. are they just dropped then for a lad who has one good club game. wise up lads. if this were the case alot of senior players would have thrown their hat at county football if that was the setup. why would a lad who was ineligible to play bother making up numbers for training and at the same time his club will be suffering from his absense. in a case like this the guy should be put in with the senior squad and stake his claim if he is good enough. | |

| lastline i know exactly where you are coming from and im not disagreeing with you. But the lads that are in there since jan might just need a reminder like that there place is not guarenteed and bringin in some fresh faces would only up the anti in training etc. I think everyone in the county bar tony kelly knows that geezer says what goes and what doesnt with the junion team,he calls the shots there so he obviously wants some new faces in to keep the competition for places up. | |

Sh*t happens. Sometimes lads just prove not be good enough and during a process better players emerge. I'm not saying that is definitely the case here but it does happen.

| Its always been the same with the juniors. Some lads will be slogging away all year cancelling holidays and going on match/training weekends only to get the flick when champ comes. A lot of the "Stonger" players will not join the panel till about 1 month before the 1st champ game. Its prob happens to most of us and it is really up to the fella himself if he wants to test himself to get onto the team. | |

So as far as I know they are still available. I've heard that the Junior panelists are not allowed play club league games at the weekend. |

| it is only based on last year at club level so dermot and the rest would be ok until the 1st round of inter county and at that stage if they played they would be un available for juniors from there on. when mickey played for seniors he was not involved with juniors from there on last year. if the juniors is a feeder panel for the seniors well what sort of commitment is these lads showing if they are only turning up a month before 1st round. hardly the type of guys geezer is looking for.

But sure it's NOT a feeder team anymore. It's a junior team. It was a feeder team when it was a second team.
