Hard to judge lads on O'Byrne Cup games. He deserves another chance.
Fermanagh's problem goes beyond Covid19, they're struggling badly to get players in to train with their county. Ryan Mc is not very popular in that county and their horrible style of footbal is turning players off joining them. I see Gary Brennan and Jamie Malone are back with Clare which will make things even harder for us. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see them beat an already promoted (probably) Armagh on the final day.

Jaysus lads I wouldn't see Doyle as an option there at all,
In fairness to Malone, chap is a good club footballer, but a forward.
Will have no hope of playing but he has the aptitude to train all the time,
Its a pity some really talented guys don't have the commitment to give it a lash, OToole from Monasterevan springs to mind just when mentioning Hyland and Robinson giving Barrett a run around, hes kept tabs on both numerous times,

John o toole is one of the best man markers in the county, he’s up there with demsey.. I’d much rather have him in there for backup instead of darragh Malone and Eoghan Bateman aswell as Shea Ryan

6 confirmed cases on the Kilcock football team. More awaiting results. Not good.

Anyone care to take a stab at the team for Sunday? I'll make a start, I expect to see something along these lines
With the game meaning so much I expect Jack to go for tried and tested players like Keith and Tommy, i'd rather he didn't tbh, also expect to see Eoin Doyle which id also rather we didn't. Papers doing there best to get Liam Power in, cant see it happening tbh. Id love to see S.Ryan, Kavanagh and Masterson from the start but just don't expect the management to do anything other than play safe. Also id imagine Neil Flynns lack of game time might see him start on the bench, Wouldn't be half surprised to see Brophy instead of Hartley but im just hoping we wont,

This is tough news for all concerned and will most likely put an end the club football in Kildare for 2020 and probably the right thing to do at this stage.
Looking at what's happening with professional sports people around the world today ( people who are paid to be in a bubble for days, sometimes weeks on end ) can anyone really see the leagues, let alone the All Ireland championships finishing.
I know we are calling our inter county players 'elite' and that they are in a Gaa context but unlike professional sports people they have daily jobs and most probably families to go home to every evening.
Fermanagh now looking for a postponement and Longford requesting that they don't travel to Derry City on Saturday, big decisions for the top brass tomorrow.

Hate to be devils advocate here but this is probably due to the drinking sessions that were had while the team were drowning their sorrows after the intermediate final.

Why is it the right think to do?? What happens in Kilcock doesn’t necessarily affect other clubs. It would be awful if they don’t complete the remaining championships. Lads might be overage next year for minor and there’s only 4 games left in junior. We talk about mental health. Lads would be devastated if championships aren’t finailised at this stage. Competitions should be finished if possible. It was the right call to pull the leagues though.

The only competition that has any hope of finishing is the senior hurling final. All other competitions can't return until we go back to level 2 which will not be happening anytime soon. Leave it run another couple of weeks and it might be best to pull it then for 2020. At least everyone got some Gaa this summer and alot more then i would have believed last April.

Just looking at the time of year and conditions that games will be played will Tommy Moolick be a man to do a job? The thing he always gets grief over is his pace, but this is slog weather and he stays going, plus he is a big man. Masterson may lose out or he could be used elsewhere even?
When you look at the Cavan game and the pressure we put on their keeper a lot has to do with the fact we have big men around the middle third.
I would still like to see Conway moving back into defence, just as a big mobile unit who can carry it out.
Dan Flynn will hopefully be back 100% and there is good competition in the forwards.
It will be totally different football than what we usually see in fairness.

I think when Dan Flynn is in the humour he can be a game changer, would just like to see us do ourselves justice with what is now a fairly decent squad

I think Dan Flynn is a game changer too and a hugely valuable player for us, but we shouldn't confuse a game changer with what you might call a marquee forward. He is definitely NOT a marquee forward!
Dan will be devastating on his day, he can create something from nothing and, on occasion, will be unmarkable and beat teams on his own... he's definitely that good, as Kill Bill said, when he wants to be.
However, he's inconsistent and you can't relay on him always. Not like a Johnny Doyle who I can never remember having a bad game for Kildare. The type of player Dan is, the type of mentality he has, means he'll do the genius stuff and great that we have him. But he's not a 6 or 7 point a game man that you also need.

It’ll be a predictable championship for Kildare. Well beaten by Meath in the semi final. Same old story.
