Hope you're right Seamy, at least ref the game as he sees it, not be influenced by the Newbridge haters on here!

So was the talk of players withdrawing just all bs and the usual social media fake news from the start or something that was actually considered?

Going to put it out there but I'd be amazed if there's a championship. Numbers are going to go up and up with schools back (this isn't a bad thing but it will be used to terrify people), NPHET will panic and start locking down more and more, and sports that cannot put its teams in bubbles, test constantly, and pay a huge price for that will be on the chopping block. Armagh already pulling plug, Ulster under different rules and financing, just too many obstacles.
For me they should have gone old school. Let clubs represent counties for the year that's in it. They're already playing weekly games so in shape, prepared and could have run it off quick as well and given them the honour. Also wouldn't have needed the crazy money that's in short supply to give to the GAA to give to county teams to pay people under the table!

I think if they could get the club championships and the N.F.L. finished that should do, lock up shop until next February.
The ways thing are going what might happen if you have say Cavan v Derry or Monahgan v Down, two different COVID 19 guidelines in place for each county, ( i.e. Down / Derry area and Monaghan/Cavan area ).

Cancel inter county. Play club provincial championships instead and have All Ireland club finals in January. Play inter county games next spring.

From RTE, doesn't look good, only a matter of time:
The Fermanagh senior football and hurling panels have suspended all activities over a breakout of covid-19.

Listening to the radio this for a good while this morning, doesn't look good in general, probably news tomorrow night, but purely from a Gaa perspective I personally don't expect to see any more games this year.

What do we reckon the chances of the games going ahead this year are now. Another 900 odd infected up the North today. If Fermanagh can't Continue are their results omitted and how does that affect us.
Personally I think we'll be in level 5 before the games are due to begin. Think it's time we just cancel this years games and restart a fresh next March all going well.
