Well done to the lads. That’s 4 tough games we have had now. Kicked bad wides and it wasn’t a classic, plenty to work on ahead of next week. Any word on a venue/time for the final?

Croke park, next Saturday.

Lads, unfortunately we aren’t yet Kerry, Dublin, Tyrone where we get to aesthetically rank AI final appearances. In my time following Kildare, this is exactly the fourth - so we’re averaging one a decade. Hopefully we get to do a proper AI power rankings at some point, but personally, for now I’m just delighted when we get there. Lads are legitimately melting my face these takes are so hot.

Anyway, workmanlike performance, no fireworks & didn’t need to be. Browne had the bit of star quality Sligo lacked. In terms of final, I seem to be missing something - some seem to be shitting their pants over playing Kerry in particular, but I’ve seen nothing to suggest this is a Seán O’Shea/Clifford-style outfit.

Very excited for the week ahead & honestly after two years from hell for the country, I’d be grateful. A Leinster treble is a legit possibility which would make this an all-time year for Kildare football.

Side bar: we now have three quality, multiple title-winning managers - Burke, Flanagan & Ward - waiting in wings behind a senior management team who are also doing really well.

Want the county board to feel me on this one: no Jason Ryan-style appointments. NEVER AGAIN.

Well done Kildare. Sligo were disappointing but well done Kildare.
Two Kildare matches in Croke Park next weekend! Shame it's not two on Sunday.

Semi finals are for winning, nothing else needs worrying about.
I wouldn't care if they win 3 points to 2 as long as they win.

Another All Ireland final to look forward to. Brilliant stuff.

Yeah, poor enough stuff.....but at the end of the day it was a 5 point win in an All Ireland semi final, in a game where realistically the result was never really in doubt after the first 10 minutes. Big improvements needed but I think it's in them. Fingers crossed anyway.
Backs were in control throughout I thought - Harry O'Neill has ice in his veins ! Any dodgy situation, he seems to be the coolest head in there.

I did not realise it was next weekend for the final - first time being out of the country in over 2 years next week - d'oh ! Raging. Hopefully get a good crowd along to roar them home anyway.

Agreed a semi-final is all about winning. After watching some awful wides I had a nightmare flashback to that semi-final in Tullamore 9 years ago when we managed to kick 19 wides. Think we are an a lot better than what we saw today and will be better again in the final. Great to be there.

Delighted!!! Well done young lillies!! I hope the Gaa have common sense and change the match to Sunday?
Didn't get a chance to post re the seniors but again delighted and it was great to see even when Kildare were well ahead they kept the gas on. Previous failings would have been where the team got out of sight of the opposition and then lost concentration and let the opposition back in.
This team kept the pressure on Louth never let up! Its a sign of a top team and I have no doubt we can take the Dubs in Leinster with the mind set, attitude and sure determination.
But up next an All Ireland final apperance and Westmeath next weekend its a great time to be a lilly!

I think they just needed to take a little beat before letting the shot off.
We seemed to get into positions easily enough but after missing a few wanted to force it a bit.
They are young lads and are learning.
Well done to all. The defence provide a great platform and the lads up front can score.
Hope it all clicks next day.

Would it be possible for the GAA to fix it for next Sunday in Croke Park? It’s asking a lot to ask supporters to fork out for 2 trips in the one weekend.

Lads you need to realise that the GAA don't give two f*cks about supporters. Never have. They'll expect you to cough up the money for Saturday then cough up the money for Sunday. And you'll be grateful.

Well Ive forked out for 6 of us to go to the match next Sunday and I will try support the under 20s its not often Kildare are in All Ireland finals but logic defies the Gaa. Its a lot on a family to be expected to take two trips one night after another.

If it was in Croke Park next Sunday it would probably have to throw in at 11.30 a.m., thats not practical.

People should travel to the u20 game instead of the senior match. Two fingers to Croke park and the Leinster council again. They stuck us in there to justify the Dubs getting home advantage, now they throw the U20s up to Cavan on a Saturday evening in what is practically a home game for Tyrone…..
To Cavan I say, leave the Croker twilight zone to the dubs.
