| Great win for the VEC Team yesterday, won 2 -13 to 1 - 4, they played some outstanding football at times. The Kildare forwards were in fine form, and probably only had 4 or 5 wides, shooting very accurate, and some fine long range scores. The pick of them coming from two 16 year olds I believe. Neil Flynn (full forward) and Wayne Fitzpatrick (centre forward). These were the same two lads who did most of the scoring versus Dublin the last Day. The six backs were outstanding, holding Louth to only 2 points up to 10 mins left. In particular, Tommy O Connell, and Evan Dempsey were outstanding. One thing I would like to add which is a bit dissapointing, The Kildare lads didnt seem to have any proper gear, they were wearing blue/green/red socks etc. Where as both Dublin the last day and Louth yesterday were togged out in their total County colours (shorts, socks etc). I know moneys tight, but surely this will be rectified for the Leinster Semi Final. Again well done to the Team, and Mentors. Its good to see Noel Mooney heavily involved. | |

| They are the rules, but Kildare senior, U21 and minor teams ignored them like most other counties, Dublin and Kerry took a break but that was expected. | |

| Sure the senior hurlers have had a panel of no less than 43 out since before Christmas! Cut costs with that. | |

| Can't teams hold trial games etc?and surely don't they still have the right to free association? The closed season is only there to save money as teams don't get food, expenses etc. | |

Thats where your wrong tpos. There is a difference between training and Collective training. You're telling me that none of the Kerry or Dublin panel trained during October/Novermber/December? |

I heard that the VC Team picked up some more injuries at the weekend, Any news Lillyboy? Only saying about collective training, I didn't realise that you were involved with the minors Big loss with Fitzpatrick injured, it means someone else has to step up.

| Im not involved with the minors snow white. Just a follower of all teams white. including spurs, not leeds. Jesus that young Fitzpatrick will be a big loss. He was outstanding versus Dublin and Louth, a very accurate free taker also. Any news on the VEC venue? Hardly be Newbridge now, with the Seniors there on Sunday? | |

| Good idea taibi , sorry to be so biased I have followed these lads since under 8 and I know the potential they have got.
One other thing that puzzles me where is Sean Campbell who was the under 21 captain last year he seems to have diss appeared off the kildare scene, still playing for his club but should be on the senior panel
