| Most clubs teams would have approx. 10 people involved with the running of a team. | |

| Jacko is going to have to do the Blues Brothers-style call-around to Jack Robinson, Brian McLoughlin, Aaron Masterson, James Murray, Daniel Flynn and Padraig Nash.
Spring in Div 2 with the Dubs in the same province not exactly mouthwatering, but I hope those boys can see the bigger picture and the huge potential in the county to be a top Div 1 side. If we can get those lads onboard we should be set for a good crack at the league. Then if we get McCormack, K Flynn, P Cribbin back from injury... it's a different team.
Will be v interesting to see what O'Connor does with the centre of our defence, which has remained a problem area post-McGeeney. Are Eoin Doyle's days in the position numbered? We'll see...

| Mentioned on here but the 2013 Kildare minor team – they annihilated a Dublin team with Brian Howard and Con O'Callaghan.
I thought McMonagle & Wayne Fitzpatrick were the future of Kildare football... McMonagle was similar to Niall Kelly, ridiculously skilfull, can player anywhere from 10-15. In the end, we only got Chris Healy from that team.
Frustrating.
When you think about it, Dublin did much better out of those teams than we did – mad!

| Very poor return HG.. How many of that Team were given the opportunity.. Sherry, O Connell, L Flynn.. Healy obviously. Maybe JOC might change that. | |

| And weren’t a lot of those players “given an opportunity”? I’m not trying to be smart or confrontational there Seamus, but genuinely pointing out that the players you mention and a few others were all on Kildare panels. | |

| Nope, McMonagle & Fitzpatrick have never played senior for Kildare.
Ohtoo I see you are dead right about Howard - although Eoin Murchan & Colm Basquel were on that team alongside O’Callaghan.
Howard did however play on 2015 minor team when we beat them AGAIN, as did Evan Comerford & Paddy Small.

| Healy I think is excellent - and was immense against Mayo last year. Neil Flynn in fairness I think is brilliant but I would have had McMonagle & Fitzpatrick right there with him ability wise.
Getting the best players in squad - especially the group missing this year - going to be big challenge for O’Connor.
There was one U21 Leinster final v Dubs when Flynn must have kicked about 12 points, absolute exhibition stuff.
